How do you feel about no april fools event?

Am disappointed. Came out excited to see what the team had for this year.
Loved all the changed pets etc. Maybe next year

A little sad, I've never had an April fool's on CS!! I wouldn't call the excuse flimsy though, I'm sure staff is very spread thin or else they would've loved to put something on; I'm sure!

little disappointed bc i wanted to see what theyd have and what i could experience for my first year on here, like how fr had silly gifts from galore and weird element changes for a day lol but the pets are cool!

I'm a new player so it's my first April Fool's on CS. I was so happy to get some April Fool's pets 'cos I didn't know if it was a guaranteed thing or not. I didn't know about potential pranks (reading back what has happened over some years sounds fun) but something small and silly in the future when it's not so busy would be great. I love the tilted head dog, silly pets would make me very happy but I also adore the winged dog today!

I personally don't like pranks in real life and there is some time limit to them isn't there? Stopping at noon. It would be hard to accommodate that with all the different time zones.

There is so so much on right now I'm very happy with what we have got for sure!

I love seeing the april fools revamps and im sad its missing this year but i also 100% agree it would risk being too confusing for new players to do it during a token hunt.

Imagine not being able to tell what outcome you get from the box, or trading event pets for lines that got temporarily altered.

I do think this year was much smaller in pets&items than prior years, but its a free game and nothing is guaranteed.

Today, i checked the website, and saw the flimsy excuse of "due to the ongoing event"... They've done april fools during events in the past before, so i don't know why it would suddenly be an issue this year, it just felt kind of disingenuous and lazy to say. and i hope there's more solid reasoning that they simply just can't discuss with us.

While I feel like the event itself is a good reason with the number of new pets for easter, there was also the pound update not long ago, along with staff retirements a bit agoand the sites birthday coming up

Was anyone else disappointed or upset by this? or on the inverse, were you "relieved" that there was nothing happening today? I'd like to get a broader idea on what the general user-base feels about a lack of a staple event on the site, so feel free to leave your thoughts, i'd like to hear them

Personally I was relieved by the lack of a prank. The "holiday" in general can be exhausting for me so it was nice to not have to deal with it in once more place

Someone else mentioned the pets. While I do agree they're less goofy than usual which was something I've always loved about April Fools' pets, the explanation of them being a mashup of others makes sense and I do still like them

Maybe in the future if the artists and everyone are spread too thin with a concurrent event, they could hire some extra temporary volunteers to bring April fool’s to CS.
Kinda sad that other games are dropping their April fools pranks in general. Star Stable is another example.
I don’t like April fools in real life but on games and websites it’s fun for me!
Edit to add: it also would’ve been nice to have more of a forewarning that there wouldn’t be an April fools prank this year, instead of finding out on rollover.

i don't expect actual april fool's events anymore. people were too offended by previous ones, so i don't think we'll get one of these crazy ones ever again and the excuses will always be something like "there's a different event going on right now".

i don't really care, to be honest. i like the mixed pets. i miss actual april fool's events, but i can live without them.
