Guilty pleasure but any fanworks where the author takes a not-that-well-written-universe (especially shounen mangas) and turns it into a serious, gritty, logical fiction with fleshed out characters.

> went to a concert and I fell in love. This guy kept looking at me and he was super cute AND he had the exact same piercing as me (one black lip stud on the right side) and he kept fidgeting with it like I do. We just kept staring at each other and when the band started playing he ran into the center of the venue and started a mosh pit. I’ve never seen like an actually mosh pit so I freaked out and said “WHAT DO I DO” and I hear someone say “PUSH EM” and he was right in front of me so I literally just pushed him across the pit and I saw him laughing. I didn’t see him again until he was leaving but I’m fully convinced that I will because the universe is gonna do something crazy. Like it was a Midwest emo concert so ofc everyone was like emo and had piercings but no one except him that I saw had exactly the same piercing as me down to the jewelry. Idk I love a guy who will just confidently start a mosh pit like yes babe throw yourself around I’ll push you.
