Pound lag getting worse?

While that would be nice, there's still a finite number of pets in there. I assume they chose the current opening size based on the expected rate of pets being added to the pound, so that it would not reach a point where the pound simply did not have enough pets in it to open, which is something Tess has stated in the past they don't want to happen: Forum/viewtopic.php?p=116951228#p116951228

there's over 800,000 pets in the pound - you're able to see how many by checking the pets without a group. to be exact, 811,802. i'm not great at math but with pets going in still over time, i'm sure close to a million pets in the pound would be able to sustain a larger pound release increase. could also be done around events only if they really wanted to micro-manage.

i honestly havent noticed worse lag but thats also because my wifi has always been atrocious lol. its still always been laggier than anything else tho

honestly never had this problem THIS bad before the new update. i don't know if it's related, but if it is, can't say i like the update all that much lol

Once again it barely loaded for me, and my signal is really good so it should have loaded fine for me if it wasn't so buggy
I was in there with timers on from 4mins before opening and any time it refreshed it took a good 30 seconds to load the page, by which point everything was gone AGAIN
By sheer luck I snagged a WL 2017 extremely uncommon

The Pound is almost unusable now, especially since almost every single opening in the last few days has been on or within two hours of rollover

I wanted to add that I'm not frustrated with getting lower rarity pets- there's a very helpful thread that actually shows that your shot at those rare+ pets is about 5% at best on average.
What frustrates me is that I cannot even reliably grab low rarity pets or even get to *see* a WL to try for. This was a non-issue pre-update, that is now making the pound actively frustrating to participate in, and is echoed by others having the same visual/technical/loading issues.

I think its just due to the event yeah?

I never have issues during non event times with lag (besides maybe new pets day).

By the time I actually got to refresh (after trying to click on any pet for 3 pages) and click on a pet, there were 8 left and then it said it was closed.

Im also a bit frustrated even trying to get a pet at all because of lag. At this point I dont know why I try since, like everyone, wait by the second to try and get in and see if I can get something and it is sad to walk away with nothing at all because of lag.

Yeah I definitely have a significant amount more lag on my phone than on my laptop. It could be due to the event bringing in more people as well? Like I’ll tap the first pet that pops up (usually the like oldest pet) and it lags for like 10 seconds before telling me it’s been adopted already ;w;
