Pound lag getting worse?

i was just thinking the lag seemed worse now than it did before, the update they did seems nice but it defintely didnt address the lag... refreshing is pointless when it takes ~20 seconds to load the new batch of pets and everything is already taken by then

I think instead of addressing lag, this update was to help accommodate it. So even if you get in 10-20 seconds late you still have a chance for a rare. Now, in case of the timing with pound being around roll over with an ongoing event, it's not much help and the lag hasn't been addressed which shows.

Edit: I think we all need to keep in mind that there's only one coder for the entire site, so while yes, it's frustrating having to wait - there's not much that we can do in that sense.

ive been going to the pound during events and ive never experienced lag this bad. could just b me though. saw a very rare on reload but it was already taken. i think its the update, event and the amount of pets in the pound not being enough for the increased amount of event players.

I didn't get anything from pound this time but when the Americans are asleep and there's less people I cna usually nab an uncommon. There's a looot of players on right now, rip

Not all of us lol, I be up at 3-4 AM hitting the pound because I’m an insomniac (American EST)
But oh my lanta I’ve had lag from the pound but NEVER in my whole 12 years of playing this game (this acc for 10) has it been this bad 😭

agreed, i’ve been playing for a while and usually the pound isn’t this bad even during events. this is next level. 😒

Hmm, true. I can't say much about the actual numbers since I have no way of knowing, but it does seem like there's been an influx of players so it does make sense for the number of pound pets released to be increased.

I don't know if it's the update? Since before the event the lag was same as always (at least on my end) it definitely got worse with the event and it's obvious the site can't handle this many players on the same page.

I think due to pound being right up when everyone is rushing to get event pets causes it to lag so badly. Just tons of players online trading rapidly/posting messages, While some are also at the pound

I think right now it's definitely due to the event going on, more people are active than usual, and it's at a decently active time of day. My Internet speed is incredibly fast, but I still had 20ish second delays at the start, 10ish further in. Not awful, but still far too long to be able to grab anything. Typically I have no delay, or 1-2 seconds maximum.

After seeing so many amazing WL pets because of the update, getting the sorry message 8 times in a row, before the pound closes while trying to grab the single remaining pet..
Can't say I'm not frustrated at least.
Prior to the event it was still very bad around rollover, and more active American hours. The pound still clears out rapidly during the busy times.

I'm holding out hope that things will get better after the event is over and things calm down, but it definitely still stings.
I don't think it's the update causing it, but it does cause a bit more heartbreak when you lag haha
I think if it's possible, more pets in the pound is a great idea. If it can be adjusted in advance, maybe just more during events/busy hours?
