@ ahirked, You spot a werm, sitting in the grass so eerily still that you nearly mistook the werm for a statue. You can have this werm join you, or go on your your separate ways. (ID # 10621)

Pip has been wandering through the garden on her own
for quite some time now. having left the wermling
orphanage to the capable paws of Khamari and Skriddle,
who decided they had had enough of scavenging for the
time being, Pip had been designated as lead survivalist
and therefore took charge of rummaging around the
detritus and foliage for flora and interesting rocks.

so far, Pip has been on her own, save for the purrs of
Nyan, her faithful companion, and the occasional hoots
and shrieks and squeals she hears from unknown creatures
deep within the garden. it's been quite peaceful, for the
most part. until now.

she nearly misses it, almost trundles past it, when she
happens to step on a twig, which snaps and alerts some-
thing. there's a creak, and a snarl, and a groan like a tree
being uprooted, and then her vision is filled with stripes
and fur that... doesn't appear to belong to Nyan.

Pip stares at the magnificent werm before her. it's twice
her size, a large, lumbering stature, overgrown in strange
plants and holding what looks like a cracked orb filled with
some sort of glimmering liquid. it regards her with twice as
many beady eyes, and its jaw has large, talon-like teeth,
almost the size of her head. if she were to step any closer,
she feels as if she would be able to fit right into its mouth.

"good afternoon," she mumbles, unsure. when the giant
werm continues staring at her unmovingly, she tries again.
"i'm trying to find some flora to make herbal tea with. do
you happen to have any recommendations?"

the creature blinks once, twice, with its separate pairs of
eyes. just as Pip is about to give up, it slowly turns and
indicates with its snout right towards a little clearing in the
garden. a magnificent array of dusty-yellow flowers murmur
across the grass. when it starts off in that direction, looking
back at Pip expectantly, then it occurs to her that - perhaps
she's made a friend.
