Anyone else having trouble getting the PPS otter? I see a lot of people struggling for it in the trade thread and I’m hoping it’ll calm down soon D:

I've had to stalk the trade threads since RO and had trades cancelled but was finally able to swap for it. So don't give up !

Every once in a while there's someone in the swap thread with a spare of the outcome everyone looking for!
It's good to stalk that thread too, and be quick!

Thanks for the vote of confidence yall! I’ll keep looking. I think my depressions just kicking my butt lately and I’m finding it hard not to be negative about all sorts of things. But your positivity really helps and I’ll keep searching 🩵🩵

Luckily I managed to adopt a PPS otter myself (and lunar dragon, and Valentine's fox), but I really feel bad for everyone who missed out, and am dreading when it's inevitably my turn to miss out:( trading has seemed to get slightly harder each year, but these last couple of adopt sets have been absolutely bonkers. And because of that I think a good chunk of people are saving their high demand doubles to use when they miss the next high demand pet- I know that's my strategy at least for when my luck runs out. I'm hoping that the crazy demand for the otter will ease once there are other fully grown outcomes that people can swap.

All of this just makes me worried about the general future of the site; I'm not sure how long I can deal with all newly ramped up stress and tedium of monthly trading, and am coming to dread each new set of adopts because fighting that uphill battle when you get unlucky is awful

yeah im super new here and very new to trading/bartering systems in general and its definitely disheartening to see singular pets soak up all the demand. i realize its because of the new addition that certain pets in certain litters will be rares (somewhat confused on this because there's already a precedence in past litters no?) and every pet that's even slightly less common is being assumed to be the next rare but that's not healthy for trading at all. im restricting myself to what pets i actually like and not purely for collection purposes, though that's still 150+ pages in a wishlist including themes that include some pets im not sure if i even want (ie. all plants, food, hearts). i dunno, i know feedback from newer players in any game needs to be taken with a few tons of salt but as someone who is completely foreign to the idea of keeping things you don't want to get things you do want im feeling like im at a bit of a disadvantage with this new trend. player retention is always important.
