was much easier leading the Clan with someone to discuss things with. Terrapinclaw was efficient, and the Clan trusted xir to keep them safe.
It was Terrapinclaw that suggested Opahsplash to be Spottedkit’s mentor. The now six moon old young cat was at the stage where she had energy to burn, and carefully batting around shells and driftwood scraps for her adopted siblings was just not cutting it.
It was odd though. Spottedpaw seemed to be a perfectly normal and excitable young cat when her friend or parents were around, but if she was alone - or someone made a loud noise, or something new was on the camp island - she was just so jumpy. She’d run for the nearest warrior even before someone had noticed there was a threat. And run she could. Eelstar was pretty certain she could outrun him if it came down to it.
Both of them hoped that maybe Opahsplash would be able to keep the jumpy little cat from bolting right out of the territory if she saw something scarier than a bird dropping seeds.
It seemed to be working. Eelstar was pretty optimistic.The Clan was thriving, and things in general seemed to be going well, especially with the younger cats. According to Kolastorm, Ravenpaw was nearing the end of his training; she was just waiting for a sign from the stars about his name. Eelstar didnt understand that, but he never claimed to have her relationship with the stars.
