Walks over to Magic and strokes her little beak. "I just came back from a walk to an icecream place and back. That's why I'm late." I tell her. I take out a bag and feed her leftover cone peices. I take her out of her nest, and take her to the tree in our backyard. I sit at the base of the tree, careful now to crack or break you (more). I stroke you and after a while, I spray some cranberry juice onto your shell. I sit with you some more until it gets too hot, then I take you back to your nest. I take out the warm and soft feathery stuff and put away the cadles, and I replace them with some cooler fabric(feathers) and a
small fan. I sit with you some more, monitoring how cool you get.

"You've hatched!" I exclaim. I put down my bag, and pick you up gently. I stroke your downy (head) feathers and set you on my arm. I watch you find your balance and start shuffling and hopping up and down my arm. I put you in you 'nest' and feed you a couple of fat grapes and give you water. I take the nest matierals and make a much bigger and softer one. I put you in the bigger nest (if anyone wants to know, the nest is on a branch that sticks through the bedroom window. We put glass around it.) I feed stroke you and feed you some walnuts, watching you eat. I admire your two different colored eyes, and I also look at your small wing, which has your fathers coloring. I sit down on my bed and watch you hop about on the branch.

Wakes up and yawns. I stretch and peer into the nest. You're still asleep, so I wait until you wake up. When you wake up, you open your small beak and yawn. (Yes, birds can yawn) I stroke your beak and put you on my arm. You flutter your wings and take bigger hops/leaps. I bring you downstairs and set you on your perch I bought for you. I eat my breakfast and take out yours. I feed you 3 or 4 worms and a bunch of chopped-up apple. You eat it and when you're done, I bring you outside to excersise your wings. I put you on a branch and you start hopping and fluttering. I sit down and watch you. When you get tired, I pick you up and cuddle with you by the base of a tree.

I take you out of the nest and feed you a small worm. I take you outside and place you on a branch. You do the same thing as yesterday, except you actually fly a foot from the tree and back. I praise you with some grapes and watch you do it until you seem tired. I pick you up and set you on a perch as I give you some water and a dried mango slice.

I watch her doing her branching. I see her flying more and more every day. I grab a mouse on a string and hang it on another tree.I swing it, trying to make her go after it. She looks intently at it and starts to flutter towards it. I wait and watch, but as she reaches out for it she looses her current and starts to fall. I run over to her and she lands on my arm shakily. After four more times, she gets it, and we do it 7 more times succesfully. I move it back a few feet, watching her try and get it. I take it down after an hour or two and feed her two and a half mice. She deserved it. I stroke her beak and head, wondering how she would do as a postie.
