anasuya shook their head before turning to rune, lowering their voice they spoke, "i don't know if i should be here for this. i can't imagine a child representing their fallout will do any good with reminding jystyr of who is really is."

response: As the door opened, Hope watched, uncertain what was going to happen next but determined to do whatever they could to find a way to help everyone. Staring into what seemed like an abyss was unnerving, but Hope pushed aside their feelings of nervousness and simply waited. Rune began speaking with the mass of goo, and Hope was glad to see the creature was listening.

When Hope heard, deep within their core, that Jystyr had forgotten who he was, they felt sad. They could not even begin to imagine what that must feel like. They wanted to help, they wanted to remind Jystyr who he was, but Hope felt like they did not really know a whole lot about him. Hope had not had very many interactions with Jystyr themself, having really only interacted with him through the Honk Board during Goo-o-ween, but there was one thing they knew a lot about that might help Jystyr remember.

The stars.

"Jystyr... Ever since I was a goo, I have always loved the stars. The stars, all the constellations I learned to find, the nights I spent stargazing with my sister... None of that would have happened without you. Every time I looked at stars, I felt happiness. I felt joy. I felt creativity, the creativity that made all those shapes in the sky."

Hope paused, then giggled a little, pointing at their goo, visible in their halo and wings. Within the membrane of their goo, the sparkles and star shaped charms seemed to shine a little in what light there was in the room. "As you can see, the stars were a big inspiration for me." Another pause. "I think they were inspiring for a lot of people. And you are inspiring for a lot of people. And that is not just because of the stars- it's because of you. I hope I was able to help you remember... Even just a little. I missed you a lot. Even more than the stars. Because you are a friend."

Grim found himself inhaling deeply, as he grabbed a few things and made his way forward. "Uhm, hi there. I know you may not remember but... we do. I've never met you personally but your stories! I know them well! You've inspired so many goobies!" He explains. "You gave them the stars at night, to bring us hope and dreams and wishes!" As he says this, he pulls out the fallen starlight and the star fragment. "See? Even now they shine! You still light the way! But more than that..." He pulls out the wizard hat, offering it towards the mass.

"You inspired our dreams and imaginations! Showed us we can forge our own paths and... most of all to have fun in the process. You are loved but also remember... you are who you want to be. And if you ever want to rewrite that? You have the power to do so! We believe in you! Spare a bit of belief for yourself too, okay? You've got this!"

luv had read tons about the gob in all sorts of books, ranging from simple fairytales to books that documented the history of goobkind, yet they couldn't think of a single thing to say. they were never good at socializing, though they felt like at this point the fallen gob would appreciate anything. after a moment of thinking, luv spoke a bit awkwardly.

"i'm not sure if this would be of any help at all, but i recall you being fond of bells and clowns. speaking of clowns, there were a couple of goolowns around the yard—luckily i didn't have to deal with them, but i heard some of the other's had some run-ins. maybe they were waiting for you?"

starlee ran back into the lab, a brilliant idea forming in her head. she stood near the door, locking eyes with the gob before simply going... "honk"

Acryl scrambled to pull the star fragment out of his bag, desperately showing it to the specimen, to jystyr. He wishes that Waktos was awake, that he would be able to talk. He was better with this stuff, especially with this much stress. Acryl just wanted to be happy, for everyone to be happy- this hurt him, to see, to experience. His voice broke as he tried to speak, presenting the fragment in front of him.

"Please! Doesn't this click something together? I wish we had more, I wish we were able to make a star just like it was before that you might recognize as something of yourself, but the gobbess encouraged everyone to use any bit of stardust that we found for ourselves. Selfish, stupid, I.... I can't believe this. Any of this. I... I wish you remembered, I hope Waktos doesn't wake up and see this. He'd be.... upset, more upset than what happened last time."
