one word to describe lucky is sentimental. she's stuck in the
past with illusions and dreams that someday her owners will come
looking for her. she inhabits an abandoned car junkyard, and seeks
out the company of humans any chance she gets. lucky is burdened
with an unbearable sense of loneliness, craving interaction and to
have the company of humans again. she clings tight to any human items
and is protective over her collection. she follows children up and
down the sidewalk, wagging her tail at the first glance she's given.
she will avoid conflict at all costs and values loyalty more than anything.
she's obsessive over certain things and still wears a collar that's
coming apart. some dogs may see that lucky is starting to be pushed beyond
her limits, becoming unpredictable and sporadic, hard to read. going
from a bustling home of children and other dogs and even constant noise
from the neighbors... to he life of a stray has made her the most unstable
she's ever been. she has incredibly strong emotions that are difficult to
read. one minute she'll be frightened, or sad... and the next.. well the next
moment she could be anything from aggressive to cheerful. most other strays
steer clear of this dog, unsure of what to think of her unpredictable nature.
others, can see that she's just in distress and that some friendship would
likely balance her out. before her mental state started declining, she was
as normal a dog as ever. she got along well at the dog park. enjoyed the
simple pleasures like getting cookies and riding in the car. she knew a few
tricks that made her human children laugh... but all of that was useless now.
everything about being a stray has continued to feel foreign to her, despite
the months she's spent on the streets, maybe barely getting by.... but surviving
all the same. at her best, she's friendly and welcoming. of course it doesn't
take much to send her into a negative state, but when she's in a good mood
she's more than willing to be helpful and show kindness to others. lucky
has good intentions and would never wish negativity on anyone. even her
enemies get given her grace when she's in a healthy state.

this is a resilient little dog, having survived parvo and a
mess of conditions as a young puppy. countless hours of her
owner nursing her back to health has put her in a better state of
living. she's lived the past years comfortably on her owner's couch,
eating wet food on a platter. though this life of luxury seems like it
might result in a spoiled brat, aspen is incredibly grateful to be taken
care of. she could never imagine life without her beloved partner, an
older woman named betty. aspen also struggles with heart problems

this female is a compassionate soul, enjoying socializing at the dog
park with whoever she comes across. being so well-spoken around her
friends has made her uneasy sitting in silence, and aspen feels the constant
urge to keep conversations flowing. she enjoys the company of other
like-minded dogs. those with gentle hearts and who will listen to
what she has to say. though she's all in for sticking up for herself and
others, she will not take on a large dog as she is aware that her petite
frame does not serve her well physically. has always been more of an
underdog at the local dog parks, being one of few mutts there. aspen is
easily manipulated by offers of friendship. if someone wants to be her
friend, then she immediately puts her loyalty and trust into
them which can get her into trouble.

✦ meet bella, a small puppy with tomboyish energy and an intense knack for socialization. the first thing you may think when you meet bella is that she's inexperienced, worried about the wrong things in life, and materialistic. all of this can be attributed to the last five months of her life. growing up in a mansion with wealthy owners, her only social skills being atoned from the nearby dog parks with like-minded dogs, and even her outgoing attitude even from birth. it's only been a few days since she's been away from her home, and thinks she enjoys the life of a stray. she's in for a rude awakening, of course. while most dogs getting lost would be an emotional mess, she views this as an exciting opportunity at freedom. she's rather adaptable mentally, even though she's short on survival skills.

bella is incredibly sociable, wanting to know anyone and everyone. a little self righteous, quick-witted, and sharp tongued she is a huge handful for anyone to meet. keeping up to date on all of the latest news and gossip is her number one priority. she's not overly friendly, though you'd think so with how enthusiastic she is to meet someone new. truthfully, the pup is ready to pass out her judgement and often finds her social opinions to be the highest of anyone's. if she doesn't like another dog, it will be known. god forbid anyone cross her or betray her. you'll never hear the end of it and she has quite the talent for holding a grudge. despite her need for conversation, she's relatively independent in her own way. even though she's five months old, she feels that she's self sustaining and ready to take on the world. she doesn't want to be coddled and though she will play with puppies her age, she absolutely despises the ones who are shy, reserved and fearful. bella's not the most understanding pup, and can be cold when those she disapproves of are in quarry. when she chooses who's worthy of her trust, she will fight for them until the end. it really is a constant battle to earn and keep her affections, but she's fiercely protective of those she loves. bella is always down for a good adventure, which is why she hasn't returned home.

ᴀᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ

✦ her bark is bigger than her bite, and though contrasting to her attitude and ego, she is a very small pup. even for her age she's quite short and lanky. bella has medium length black fur, that appears to be well maintained and groomed. her paws are large. showing that she'll grow to be a tall dog, hence the "giant" in her breed. she was on the smaller side of her four other siblings and hasn't filled out in her frame fully.

being no stranger to hardships and struggle, at first glance dante can
seem terribly serious, a stick in the mud you could say. he puts great emphasis
on his morals and keeps them close to his heart. despite his size and great strength
he's the most non-confrontational and quiet street dog you'll meet. he keeps to himself
most, if not all of the time. anyone he knows he tries to stay on the good side of,
and is neutral with most other dogs. he's a determined survivor and values his
self preservation skills. he can be so stubborn that he's unwilling to budge on
his values and opinions. one side no one seems to get the chance to know,
is that name is incredibly sentimental and those he has a soft spot for, he will
never abandon or let down. he has strong walls that are difficult to break down.
it's rare anyone sees him in a state that's anything other than steady and stoic.
he does have his limits and though he prefers to walk away from a reckless or
unruly dog, he doesn't like being challenged and won't hesitate too much to
stand up for himself. dante can be hard to read. even to those who know
him there doesnt seem to be much of a difference visibly between this male
having the worst day of his life, or the best. being relatively reserved, he'll
sometimes go months without speaking a word. in fact, he doesn't really
mind it either. dante was born to a doberman mix and a purebred doberman
under a shed behind some unassuming family's house. his mother had been
rotated around a few households, but when this family found them they
decided to bring them in. his other siblings were given to family friends
and neighbors, so they stayed relatively close by. he never got to know them
though, and eventually his mother was sold to someone else. dante stayed
with that original household though, as they kept him as their family pet.
as their family grew in a short time through births and adoptions, he
was slowly but surely getting less of his needs cared for. he didn't mind
becoming an outside dog, and made the fenced in backyard his home.
when a hurricane hit the family evacuated and left dante to his own
devices. he hid inside the same shed he was born under, and
eventually escaped into the neighborhood with the other lost pets and
dogs born stray. it took him some time to adjust, but now he's been a
street dog for years and wears the title with pride. though unlike most
strays he has no hatred or dismay for his previous owners. sometimes
he thinks of them, but he's more go with the flow than some.
if this is where he's meant to be, he'll take it. it takes all the effort
in the world for him to open up, and only he knows his past.

personality to most that know him, mickey is quite the difficult dog to get along with. he's openly judgemental and puts great value on his own opinions. he's always had the habit of demanding those around him to straighten up, act more mature, or whatever it may be he's generous in his critiques. to friends, mickey is just a grumpy guy, but harmless for the most part. though rather abrasive, he's friendly enough to those he knows. though outspoken and seemingly ready to jump into action, he's truthfully more likely to provide the ideas and follow someone else's lead. it drives him insane when others don't stay in line. he can't stand to be disagreed with. despite preferring not to lead, he often treats kalika as his constant competition. he focuses on getting one step ahead of her at all times. he can be quite pushy with his owner's affections, not wanting to share at any moment. if you do him wrong he can hold an unwavering grudge until the end of his days and will never let you forget or live it down. though handsome he's often ridden with fleas, mange and other things that dogs can smell on him and prefer to stand back from, making him unapproachable
