Blackstar watched her go, and shook his head. Scarletshade never said sorry. Something had to be up. But she wasn't his mate. No, he was Kitewing's, despitethis whole plan, and Kitewing was his. Not Echostorms. Maybe Scarletshade and Echostorm should get together? Then Echostorm could leave him and Kitewing alone.

Leopardfrost watched Apleberry's kill, and smiled. "Well done!" She called. She herself had caught a mouse. It had heard her, but she had killed it before it could escape. It was now by her paws.

Mist purred slightly louder as she snuggled closer to him. Her comforting was working, just as his had done to her... His fur slowly stopped bristling, followed by his tail going still, and the fur lying flat. Calming himself the rest of the way, he took a deep breath, hanging his head. "My father was a monster. I don't even want to know how many mates he had, and how many kittens... But he would kill or abandon the male kittens and keep the female ones for himself..." The thought made him sick... "My mother merely stood and watched as he slaughtered my brothers... I had fallen out of the nest, so I was hidden. I ran with the other survivors, and helped to rescue some of the female kittens. My group was slowly reduced to just me and the girls, as the others were cocky, too confident about the world. We got out, but he came after us. He took Kite away from me... He was going to hurt her, so I came after him. The rest had found safety with a clan, but I was closest to Kite... There was no way I was leaving her there..." Tears streamed down his face as he remembered... Ears drooping, he sniffled, but his sadness was short lived... His tail bristled worse than it ever had before, during his time in the clan anyway. "I met again with my father... I was a larger apprentice by then... It was terrifying, but if I didn't fight him, he would have killed Kite. So we fought. I had never felt so angry, so scared, before in my life. As you can see, I survived and he didn't... Stepping away from her, he took a deep breath, hanging his head further. "No one should have to do what I did."

Merr smirked at her, rubbing his nose against hers in an eskimo kiss. Purring softly, he pricked his ears up as she smiled back at him, his face lighting up. His eyes shone brightly as she licked him, although only enough to tease... Then she pulled away, sniffing the air, but he had other things on his mind than hunting. Crouching down, he raised his backside, wiggling it from side to side before pouncing on her. Rolling her over, he grinned down at her, licking her face affectionately. He just couldn't believe himself... He was actually falling in love with her. This was certainly going to ruin his plans at some stage... Either he'd need to tell her, or he'd need to kidnap her or who knows what else... He just didn't want her to get hurt.

Appleberry purred, "Thanks! Nice mouse you caught too." she meowed and her eyes shone with happiness at just being out with her best friend.

Leopardfrost nodded, getting to her paws. "Where should we hide them? We don't know if there are stil foxes in the territory." She shuddered at the thought of the foxes that had killed so many of her Clan.

Appleberry shuddered as well, then meowed "I don't really know..." She looked around, her intense gaze searching for a good hiding spot.

Leopardfrost stepped forwards, her eyes locked on a bush. "That looks like a good spot." She commented, and picked up the dead mouse, forcing herself not to bite down on the tender, still warm flesh.

Appleberry followed in suit, delicately holding her warm catch. She gently laid it down near the middle of the bush, Leopardfrost was defiantely right about this being a good place for hiding fresh-kill.

Placing the mouse next to Apppleberry's own, she stood back, shaking her fur free of a couple of dead leaves stuck on it. "Where do you want to go next?" She asked, looking around the familiar forest.

"Hmm, I don't know." Appleberry meowed thoughtfully, "Where do you think?"

"Somewhere where the foxes didn't go. Someone that could be safe." She hated talking like this. It made her sound like she was scared. And she wasn't.
