Grim blinked a moment as the camera was absorbed, before giving the creature a gentle smile. "It's alright," he replies. "I am glad to see it become a part of you. Speaking of, I found something today I was wondering if you might like?" He offers the shiny thing forward. "I'm not sure what it is I'll admit, but it made me think of well..." He pauses. "Anyways, thought you might like it." He sighed out.

"One of my friends woke up today... but a few others fell asleep. We're still working on figuring this out, don;t you worry.. We're going to help you." (105)

Wrasse approached the 'specimen', as it was called, but he didn't truly see the being before him as a creature meant to be scrutinized, observed like a caged animal. He could feel the power radiating from the void-bound being, a familiar energy that resonated deep within his goo. He was terrified of the mass before him, but also wanted answers, and so he tried not to tremble too visibly as he approached with his offering. In his paws Wrasse held a melted candle, now-hardened wax forming raised bumps along its length. In fact, the appearance of the melted wax was not too dissimilar from the way the sentient inky void dripped and oozed goo of eternal midnight. And perhaps just like a being he knew did before? "I hope this candle helps you in some way. If - if not, I hope you like it, at least." Wrasse's voice faltered as apprehension and fear seeped in, and he had a moment where he wondered what he was doing, potentially endangering himself like this. But he wanted to understand what was happening, and would do whatever it took to get to the bottom of this. As he was starting to lose hope that he could somehow connect to the specimen, Wrasse was reminded of his purpose and remembered why he was there in the first place, snapping out of his fear-frozen state just enought to let emotion suddenly overwhelm him. He thought of those dearest to him and choked back the tears that shimmered in his eyes. "Please, you have to help us." It was a plea, a hushed whisper heard only between himself and the formless creature before him. "My dad just fell asleep last night. My best friend - sh-she's been asleep for days. I don't want to be alone, I - I can't be alone."

After watching the specimen from a distance the past couple of times, Kaze decides to move a bit closer to the creature this time. They have now found two court lavenders, and they figure that means they can give one to the creature and use the other to help wake the sleeping goobies, once the scientists figure out how. Hopefully the group would be able to figure all of that out soon, but in the meantime Kaze might as well try to see if the ingredients can help the creature. Though he recalls how some of the goobies moved closer to the specimen before and seemed to get tired because of it, Kaze does not feel right throwing what is meant to be helpful at the creature. They do not want the creature to misunderstand their intentions, after all. Kaze would feel really bad if the creature thought the attempt to help was an attempt to attack or something like that instead!
So, he approaches the specimen, though he is still careful not to get too close since he does not want to invade the creature's personal space, and sets the court lavender down near the creature, within reach but not too close. Feeling like maybe they should say something, Kaze speaks, "Hi... I hope this plant I found can help you somehow. I am still not sure what is going on really, but... I want to help everyone. I want to help you." Kaze offers a small, hopeful smile. "As confusing as all of this is... I believe it will all work out somehow." Kaze is unsure how helpful a plant could be to the creature, but they do not have anything else at the moment and they want to do something to help. Even if it did not help, Kaze hoped that the creature might at least feel a little better.
