idk lol
The Universe is very, very big.
It also loves a paradox. For example, it has some extremely strict rules.

Rule number one: Nothing lasts forever.
Not you or your family or your house or your planet or the sun. It is an absolute rule. Therefore when someone says that their love will never die, it means that their love is not real, for everything that is real dies.

Rule number two
: Everything lasts forever.

.:Wizard:.
Name:
Jordan Nightingale
Image
Race:
Human
Gender:
Male
Age:
64
Love Interest:
None
Test Result:
Blue
Order:
Blue
Rank:
Wizard
Description:
Pretty much what you see above. Grey hair, beard and eyes, rather pale complexion. Also fond of wearing light blue and white, giving him a sort of washed out appearance. He is in good health though, and does not use a cane or staff.
Personality:
Jordan is a rather fatherly gentleman, and enjoys teaching younger students. In general, Jordan's thoughts are driven by logic, not emotion or religion. He sees these types of things as childish, that one will inevitably grow out of at some point. Most of the time he is very even tempered and uses a gentle hand when teaching, but can be rather short when it comes to being interrupted while he is talking and the like. He has worked hard to get to where he is and learn the things that he has learned, and believes he deserves respect for that. For him, magic is something to be earned, not given, and those with exceptional in-born talent annoy him. He thinks everyone has something to learn from practice and there is always something they can learn to do better. Seeing all the younger apprentices and wizards and how easily their magic comes to them makes him feel old. Even though magic may extend his life for many years past that of a normal human, Jordan knows that there is more of his life behind him than ahead of him. This makes him wistful at times, and he strives to prove to the others that he is still useful.
History:
Jordan was born to a traveling family of tinkers. Throughout his childhood he worked as an assistant to his father as they repaired and created machines and sold them to wealthy households. Thus, from a very young age Jordan gained an appreciation for the logical order of things and has a generous mechanical aptitude. His magical ability didn't show itself until he was well into his teens, and even then it was not easy for him. He was put into class at the tower with students much younger than himself. His power was unreliable at best, and unreachable the rest of the time. It was only through many years of practice and hard work that he was able to gain any kind of real control over magic. Now he uses ritual and patience in his spells, making certain that he does things exactly the same every time. He cannot use his magic instinctually, and must be fully alert and focused to succeed. Jordan never left the tower after his training was complete. Instead, he decided to stay and try to teach others some of what it took him so long to learn. Jordan still thirsts to know more, and is an avid reader, learning as much about history and magic as he can. He is also active in the magic of science, occasionally carrying out experiments to learn how things work. All of this coincides to the point that he never sought out a wife or desired to have children. He has not seen his parents since he left for the tower. However, he does still enjoy tinkering, and has many working contraptions in his office and living quarters.
Strenghts:
Patient
Wise / Learned
Logical
Mechanical Aptitude
Stoic
Methodical
Stalwart
Weaknesses:
His Age
Inability to use magic instinctually
Does not connect well with younger wizards
Lack of empathy, has little patience for viewpoints that do not fit with his own
Will not admit he is wrong even when he is
Tends to lecture
Fears:
His advancing age
Being useless / helpless
Death
Being forgotten
Not knowing something
Loosing control
His magic failing him at a critical time
Other:
Jordan loves being near the water, either sailing or just sitting on the beach enjoying the sea breeze. Many of his contraptions use water in some way, either to help them move or as some other playful interaction.
RP Example:
Jordan sat at his desk, patiently fitting together small pieces of brass tubing as he worked on his newest project. The desk was made of a heavy teak wood, pocked and darkened from years of hard use as not only a writing table, but work bench as well. On the corner, a rather large book containing historical references sits open, forgotten for the moment as Jordan became bored with it and began to tinker instead with one of his contraptions. The windows to his chamber, located high up on the tower, are thrown open letting in a fresh breeze that playfully flips the pages of the book now and then, as though vying for his attention. The rest of the room is walled with bookcases, each one packed full with books of every shape and variety, enough to keep any curious mind entertained for years. Across from his desk sits well loved and over used arm chair, situated perfectly under the gas lantern fitted in the wall which burns brightly, though futilely against the sun streaming in through the open window.

Completely engrossed in his work, Jordan pays little attention to anything else going on around him. He barely seems to notice the noise of what sounds like children's footsteps as they run down the hallway outside of his room. Fashioning a right angle out of a small tube, Jordan quietly whispers a spell of fire and heat, effectively brazing the two pieces together. The footsteps sound again, running the other direction up the hallway, perhaps a little bit faster this time, more urgent. Still paying the racket no heed, Jordan lays out his pieces on the desk, planning out how they will fit together when finished. Pulling open a desk drawer, he searches through it for a moment before pulling out a diagram of a rather complex little valve system he had drawn up the other day. Laying it on the desktop and smoothing it flat, Jordan carefully begins to compare the piping on the desk to his plan, gingerly picking up the small pieces in his fingers. Just then, the footsteps return, stomping loudly down the corridor, ending in an enormous crash at his door, setting it shaking on it's hinges. Startled, Jordan jumps in his seat, dropping his piping in a cacophony of tiny chimes. What the heck was that?! Crazy kids, what are they up to out there? Rising out of his seat with more than a little bit of grumpiness, he stomps over to the door across the stone floor.

Flinging the door open preparing himself to scold some careless scribe with his rightious-indignation, Jordan is more than a little surprised to find the hallway empty. Eyebrows raising above his glasses in confusion, Jordan steps out into the hall, looking curiously up and down. No one here? How can that be? Surely I'm not old enough to be going senile... Giving up, and not really willing to search the rest of the floor, Jordan turns around to go back into his office. Just as he makes a full circle, the heavy wooden door slams shut in his face. Jumping back in surprise, Jordan just stares at it blankly. What in the Circle is going on around here? Heart pounding in his chest, he reaches for the nob only to find the door locked. Lifting up his glasses to peer at the handle beneath them he shakes his head, now thoroughly freaked out. Maybe the force of it closing turned the lock? He thinks to himself, trying to find a logical reason for all of this strangeness.

Reaching into his robe, he finds the key to his office and pulls it out. Having to forcefully steady his hand as he inserts it into the lock, turning it with a click. Calm down you old fool! It was just the wind. Pushing the door open slowly, Jordan is met with an inky blackness. Apparently, the heavy storm shutters have been shut and the lamp blown out. Struggling to calm himself, he steps back, taking a deep breath and willing his thundering heart to settle. It's just a little dark in there, surely you know a spell to bring some light to this situation. Still breathing deeply, Jordan carefully searches for the right spell in his mind, almost hesitantly plucking the right stands of manna to produce a little mage globe. Succeeding after only one failed attempt, the little globe appears in his hand and he holds it up high to see into the room.

His formerly neat office is now a disaster. Looking more like the remnants of a tornado, the book shelves are nearly empty, their contents strewn across the floor along with his papers and almost all of his desk drawers are open and upturned on the floor. Eyes going wide, Jordan stares at the mess, gingerly stepping back into his office in the dim light of the orb. How... How could this happen? I've only been gone for a minute and didn't hear a thing! Jordan had made it to a relatively clear spot in the center of the room when the door slams shut behind him. Startled and scared out of his wits, Jordan drops the globe and it disappears, plunging him and the room into darkness. Flailing in the black, he manages to throw himself at the window and fling open the shutters, flooding the room with a rush of fresh air and the mid-morning light that had poured in just moments ago. Spinning around to face whatever it is that has trapped him in the room, Jordan gasps at the sight. Everything is back exactly the way he had it. Every book in it's place, even the tiny tubes on his desk still sit where he left them. The gas lamp gutters back to life and he can hear footsteps almost skip away from his door. Heart and mind racing, Jordan collapses into his arm chair, holding his head in shaking hands. Maybe you are going crazy... I can't possibly tell the others about this! Who would believe me now?

.:Elenwen:.

Elenwen slipped through the halls of the school, she didn’t need to be asked where she was going and then be called crazy. She wasn’t crazy! She could just see things other people couldn’t and more importantly she could see Gorion. She quickly dashed down the halls, no one else seemed to be nearby and she had heard about the monsters. She looked back over her shoulder ever once and a while, she always told herself not to believe the stupid rumours but it was hard to ignore them when you’ve seen their truth. She shivered and kept on her path, she had been in this school her entire live, there was nothing it could surprise her with now.... right?
--
.:Ciax:.

Ciax patiently sat in the tower gardens, legs crossed his eyes closed. He rested his hands gently on his knees, for once he had peace of mind, it was hard to acquire in all the tower’s troubles, but he still managed. He could feel the wind around him, he could feel the ground moving under him, and he could feel the little creature that had landed on his head... and his peace was gone. Ciax opened his eyes and gently pried the little creature off his hood, a butterfly, bright azure wings slowly beat the air as it rested on Ciax’s hand.
--
.:Sijach:.

Sijach stormed through the halls, as angry as ever... or always, either one would fit. She pushed the other students out of the way to pound on the Black Head’s door. She was tired of him making her do all of this because of how he had helped her, she had made the promise to keep his secret, she didn’t need to do all this as well. “Master!” she shouted, her desert accent think and heavy in her enraged state. She pounded again, hard enough to break any normal door “MASTER!”
--
.:Entric:.

Entric sat in the grand hall, leaning against the back wall and watching as people paraded by. He stepped forward to talk to one of the girls... no wait she had already turned him down. He tapped his foot, patience wasn’t a virtue he possessed. He had to wonder why no one really seemed to like him, he wasn’t that bad to be around was he? Sure he could be a little rude but he wasn’t terrible. He shook his head, running a hand through his red hair, he always did when he was nervous or worried about something.
--
.:Aurora:.

Aurora sat in the library an enchant tome lying unopened on the desk. “Uzamerath intalior” she whispered, reciting the spell over and over as her brain worked to try and click the pieces of the spell together. She started at the page, each rune seemed to pop out at her, taunting her as she tried to read the spell. “Uzamerath intalior.” She repeated “Uzamerath italior!” still the words didn’t seem to click into her memory, she glared at the page. She was missing something, what was it, she needed to spell to work, she needed the spell.
--
.:Will:.

Will looked out off the tower walls, they were still there. There camps and fires could be seen just over the hill tops. How much would it take these people, this hunters to realize that they were all just normal people with... if anything a curse. You didn’t get to chose if you got this curse, you were just stuck with it. He heard a grinding noise as one of the golems stomped up beside him. “Should we attack sir?” the golems strange mechanical voice clinked “No, I’m not your captain anyway.” Will muttered, shaking his head at the situation ahead. Inside the tower wasn’t safe, outside the tower was hell, the only question was which was worse to face?
--
.:Feathers:.

Feathers sat in the branches of the trees, watching as the birds flew above. She wished she could join them, she wished she could lived this curse hole and be free. Diana had found her and dragged her here, she wanted to be back in the forest with her friends and ‘family’. Sure they were animals but she had been raised by them, she had never known a real family and they had been the closest thing she had.
--
.:Ezvar:.

Ezvar stormed down the halls, not angry but he always seemed that way to everyone. He had to watch a stupid test, attend a meeting, and then chase down a new recruit, a little girl from some small farming town. He didn’t enjoy the job of snatching children away, he had to worry about his father coming after him, and it made him feel like his father. At least he didn’t have to walk the entire way, but he could only imagine the way the argument with the parents was going to end. He would just have to grab the kid and go, no time for words, just take their daughter way to never be seen again

((what to post...))

Ivy and Cal walked arm in arm, through the halls, talking and laughing. They didn't seem to be afraid of the tower, not when they were together. They rarely dared wandering through the tower halls alone. Not since they heard the rumors, which they believed. What? They did have powers and they were humans. So, anything was possible right? Even if it meant the tower was alive.

Adair sat in his room, alone. He was just sketching at the moment. Honestly, he had been sketching for the past two hours, having nothing better to do. His brother was in the library reading and studying, whereas his younger sister was with her best friend. Oh, he missed his best friend from his childhood. He had hoped, when his sister had arrived, that his friend would also discover some hidden powers. Then, a year or two passed, and his sister's best friend came here, and again, his hope flared. Now, many years later, he had stopped hoping for the impossible. Not everyone has powers, Adair. You, Cairo, and Cal are unique. Feel happy. He had thought to himself.

Cairo sat in the library alcolve, two thick books next to him, and one thick book opened in front of him. It looked as if he were half-way finished with the book. He read and read, jotting down things he felt were important, sometimes mumbling the words under his breath.

.:Wizard:.
Name:
Shadow Ebony Chase
Image
Race:
Human
Gender:
Male
Age:
17 Years
Love Interest:
No Love Interest
Test Result:
Red
Order:
Black Order
Rank:
New Wizard
Description:
Shadow is tall, rising up to 6.3 feet. His hair is jet black and longish, cut unevenly. His bangs sweep forward and hide his right eye. His right eye also has a vertical scar running across it. He has bad vision in it, because it was almost gouged out, the scar proves it. He has broad shoulderes, and is muscular. Pale, his eyes are a vibrant, icy blue. His fingers are long and he has a viselike grip.
Personality:
Shadow is cold, rude, and arrogant. Everyone thinks he will eventually turn into a Nightshade. He's evil enough for it. Stubborn and vicious with his words, he doesn't talk much. When he does, he insults and cusses. He has a generally dirty mouth. Rough, Shadow doesn't care what others feel. He is selfish, caring only about himself. He puts himself first, and thinks only of himself. He likes darkness and silence, and prefers to stay alone. He despises it when people try to figure out what he's thinking.

But in truth, he has a kind disposition. He just doesn't show it. Preferring to be alone and keep people away, no one ever sees how truly 'White' he is. He can be gentle and very soft with his words if the urge overcomes him. There is a reason his eyes always have a deep shutter of sadness hiding everything else. Shadow has always been one to think 'Will saving them get me caught? Will I be able to get out.' He is all about himself until you get to know him. Then you will realize he will take a bullet for his best of friends.
History:
Shadow had a pretty average life until five, when his parents were both killed. He has no idea what took them away, but he knows they're dead. No one ever bothered to take him in, so he continued to live in the house for one year. He became a thief, stealing to live. It was a good thing he got such practice, because when he was seven, a group of townspeople burned down his house. They had ratted him out. He lived on the streets, getting in plenty of fights and stealing from almost everybody at least once. He lived on the streets for another year, until one day when he got cornered in a street by a bunch townspeople and other thieves. He paniced, because he could not scale the wall. That was when his magic made it's self completely known. He blasted half the people, seriously wounding five from the energetic explosion and killing three.

The wizards of the tower quickly fished him out, deciding that he needed to be taught before he killed more people. He was taught from then on, and when it was time for the Test, no one was surprised he became one of the Black order. His magic had been tainted by the killing.
Strenghts:
-Size
-Strength
-Determination
Weaknesses:
-Temper
-Stubbornness
-Self centered way of thinking
Fears:
-Water
-Death
-Being cast out
-Being overcome by evil
Other:
Nope.
RP Example:
Shadow
"Great. You can handle her." I said, nodding towards the girl with the wounds. Then I dashed away, towards one of the three Are'. It came at me with a growled "I'm going to get you!" He was stronger and faster, but he wasn't smarter or larger. Twisting hastily sideways, I got clobbered in the stomach. Doubling over, I was shoved skyward, slamming down hard onto my back. I let out a stream of curses as I scrambled up again.

"Come on, you filthy, yellow-oomph!" I kept forgetting how fast they were. The Ares Spawn rammed me in the shoulder with his head and I flew backwards, grabbing a fistful of of his shirt and yanking him with me. The other two were advancing on the girls.

.:Wizard:.
Name:
Aline Shadehallow
Image
Race:
Sulint
Gender:
Female
Age:
15 Years
Love Interest:
No Love Interest
Test Result:
Red
Order:
Red Order
Rank:
Very, Very New Wizard
Description:
Aline's wings are white with speckles of light and dark brown. Her wingspan is 14 feet. She is a little above average height and has a lethe body. Her hair is straight, a little below the shoulder length, and straight and dark brown. Her eyes are a stormy grey with a sad sheen hiding most of her emotions. Her wing pendent is a small circle with Azure stone in it's center. Miniscule silver wings with gold specks flare out from the stone on either side.
Personality:
Aline has a complicated personality. One minute she can be screaming with rage, and the next she can be calm and sedate. To really understand her, you just ahve to be with her a lot. She likes to be alone with her thoughts a lot, but also likes to be in crowds when she gets bored. She has a creative mind, but creative on the destructive level. Her temper, which can easily get out of hand, drives her to do nasty things to her 'enemy.'

Aline's instinct is to lie first, tell truth the second. She has trust issues, but can act as a very good, loyal friend. She is a good actress, and even when she is screaming inside, can act as if she is happy, smiling and laughing. Her stubborn nature makes her seem brave, but in truth, she is a coward. She always looks at things in the terms of pain or no pain, easy or not easy.
History:
Aline lived a normal life for three years, until she showed signs of magic. Her mother, her only left family, felt she couldn't handle Aline's magic She soon found out about the Wizard Circle and left Aline on the doorstep, hoping for her to be taken in. The wizards did take her in, letting her train because she had showed magic. When her wings were finally revealed, she took the test.

-Looks
-Stubbornness
-Ease at Faking
Weaknesses:
-Stubborness
-Instinct to lie first
-Fear of everything
Fears:
-Pain
-Being alone
-Being unloved
Other:
Nothing
RP Example:
Aline

I waited for several minutes to make sure that the two girls were gone. They were obviously in the middle of a drama, and I had no interest in being part of it. With a small sigh, I lugged my pack higher onto my shoulder and moved into the cabin. Only two beds were taken, and I let out a sigh of relief. I hated crowded spaces, just as I hated small spaces. I had a lot of phobias, now that I think on it.

I picked the bed farthest from the other two and dropped my pack onto it. There was nothing to unpack (that I wanted to unpack, that is) because I owned nothing important. All that was in my pack was clothes, food, and a couple of weapons. I sat down cautiously on my bed and looked around the cabin.
