ok guys i have an exam in a few hours which i'm not ready for at all. so i need to write everything down here and try to memorise it </3 mods please don't delete until tomorrow this is the best place on this site i have to write it all out.
LINEAR FORM
standard form: ax + by = c
a must be positive. a, b, and c cannot be decimals or fractions.
SLOPE INTERCEPT FORM
y = mx + b
you use this to find the slope and y-intercept. so like. m is the slope. b is the y intercept. b is the value of y when x is 0.
so if i had the equation y = 2x + 3, 2 would be the slope and 3 would be the y-intercept. x here would be 0.
-
now, if i wanted to convert this to standard form, i would have to:
- bring all terms to one side
y = mx + b
mx - y = -b
if i wanted to convert from standard to slope intercept:
ax + by = c
then solve for y somehow??
y = (-a/b)x + c/b
so i wanna convert y = 2x + 3 it'd be 2x - y = -3 right??
ok so now i know what y is and i got it into standard form i think. WAIT STOP BING ASSISTANT TELLS ME I'M RIGHT OMG
update apparently that wasn't even what i was supposed to review for but at least i got it?? i'm doing trigonometric quadratic functions and like every other colour of function there is guys so don't worry about me 😍😍😍😍😍 i'll be ok!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 (pray for me please)

I just wanted to have a small rant and hopefully someone can help me out-
So, my brother who we'll call "Jack" just keeps making terrible decisions. I'm just going to list a few, because the list is long and honestly I feel lost.
1. Jack crashed the car that my adoptive father gifted him(It was his old work truck but mint condition), he was going 70 out of a driveway and slung into the left lane hitting another car. He joked about crashing the car before hand so our dad would buy him a brand new car every few days.
2. Constantly mocks and makes jokes about handicap people, including mocking me for autism.
3. Spent over $10k of my adoptive parents money promising to pay back but hasn't had a job for almost 2 years. He spent it all on a new car (that doesn't run), motorcycle (that doesn't run), a ATV (that doesn't run), and a boat (that also can't be used bc it has a ton of holes in it) Also the $10k is only what i've been told, but I think its WAY more as my father is about to have to come out of retirement and work.
4. He doesn't train his dogs AT ALL. I've been bitten by dogs 4 times, 3 of those times it was his dogs. Including one time where he walked up to me and started screaming so that his dog would purposely bite me, which she did, I had a ton of puncture wounds on my elbow and forearm
My younger brother is a not-so-good person, I grew up and basically raised him since our parents were non existent. I feel like I went wrong somewhere? I'm worried I'll have kids and raise them and they'll end up the same way. Is there any advice? How can I get him to see his actions aren't okay? My adoptive parents are older so they can't do anything or say anything in fear of him being angry.

i wish i wasn't autistic. when i'm at home and by myself, i feel fine. i'm pretty happy. even, but i hate not having anyone irl to talk to about my interests. doing it online doesn't cut it a lot of the time. but the MOMENT i step outside and try to make friends, all of a sudden, i'm an awkward weirdo who can't talk to or approach anyone, and idk what to do about it because i'm afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone and being looked at weird for it and I HATE IT SO MUCH. maybe if i was born neurotypical i wouldn't struggle so much. i'd actually have irl friends aside from my family and wouldn't be a loner.
