Nightsky walked with Blackfur. They arrived at the WaveringStone and Nightsky spoke into the snow and frozen water, "I, Nightsky, can no longer be Medicine Cat Apprentice. I have abandoned my duties by loving Blackfur. StarClan, please forgive me. This is the choice I must make."

Blackfur watched as he spoke to Starclan and murmured "I love him too"

"I will share one last dream with you." He touched his nose to the water and felt the sensation of indigo skies and stars rushing past him. He saw Blackfur being pulled in with him as well.
"Nightsky." Greeted Leafpool and Crowfeather. Leafpool said, "I'm glad my sister did have kits after all. You are the descendant of one."
He said, "Does StarClan forgive me?"
"Yes. You have done the right thing by giving up your duties instead of loving with them. I know it was hard, but it will be ok."

Blackfur looked at Crowfeather and said "I see you have gotten over Feathertail". Crowfeather sighed and said "Yes I have but I had never forgotten her"

Greenstar lay curled up tightly in her den, alone, wondering what Patchleap and the others were doing.
