Also, I totally understand getting burnt out! I’ve been there. You deserve to work on something that makes you happy, and there’s no pressure to continuing something that doesn’t make you as happy as it use too. You could always make these an open species or a temporary species too! excited to see what they become!

I mean, hey, bashing your head against burnout is a one-way ticket to just making it worse. I think trying something new is the move! And these guys look super cute!

Looking at Dutch Angel Dragons and Protogens is always a good place to start for structuring open/semi-open species, and how you might set something up that places you under less long-term managerial stress. And if you're willing to move away from ChickenSmoothie, there's a site framework called Lorekeeper which is popular for establishing ARPG's/closed species communities. Both of these would require a lot of front-loaded work to launch, but it might be cool to build your own website! That way, anything you put out would be on your terms.

I'd love to hear an update about Keldines when you're feeling more solid, but no pressure! Hope you're doing well, and happy late new year!

Kage I want you to know I will 200% support you in literally anything you do (that’s legal) and I’d love to be a part of another one of your closed species! I like keldines, they’re cute, but my favorite thing about them is the community. The creativity, the amazing artists that spawn from such a community. *That* is what makes any closed species stand out to me. ❤️
