Dear Tundra, I don't actually prefer either. When asked what my favorite season is or whether I prefer one or the other, I don't have an answer. To me, each season has it's highs and lows.
In Winter, it is cold and the nights are long, but there is also joy that comes with holiday spirit, and the companionship of friends and family when stuck inside together. In the dark hours of Winter you can learn more about other people and yourself. Do they/you let the cold dark that seems to last forever get to them? Or do you and they have hope and joy that shines in that darkness?
In Summer, some places may have lovely weather and therefore lovely temperments of people. Where I live, and I'm sure many others, it can be hot and miserable. The days are long and the sun shines so bright and warm that it feels you will never be cool again. It can be hard to even breathe and the plants wither from being dried up. But it can also be a time to get out and do things/ get things done, learn new things. A chance to meet new people and expand relationships. For me personally, it's also a time of joy because my birthday is in the Summer. :3
Spring and Fall have their own pros and cons as well. With Spring storms can be destruction, but also new life that is brought in that very rain. In Fall, things seem to be withering all around, but there is also the harvest of things worked long and hard for.
No matter the time of year, there is always something that will try to make you feel as if things could never be so bad. But if you pay attention, and look closely, you can also see the good, the joy, and the life all around.
There is Always, at the very least a small, light in the darkness.

What would this cozie use their fort for?: They would make a huge pile of snowballs. Then, as they wait for the others to be ready with their snowballs, or come close enough to get hit with one >:3 , they would build tiny snow-creatures as companions in their fort. If their fort lasted through to the night, they might get some LED lights and put throughout their fort so that the snow could emphasize the glow and everything would be beautiful lights.
