Prompt: Tell me of a time that a snow-in affected you positively.
Once in my early childhood, at my grandfather's house in the mountains, there was a great snow and I could not go out to play because there might be avalanches and it was almost a blizzard. You couldn't see very far and people got lost all the time. And the snow was already waist deep from the previous day.
Anyway I decided to sit facing the inner garden and watch the snow. My grandfather walked by and was pleased I was not loud, I suppose. He sat with me a while and we had tea together. We said nothing and just looked at the snow heavily falling. It was one of the few times my extremely strict and traditional grandfather showed a softer face. That memory has always remained.
