A few years back while we were heading to enjoy the snow at a family member's place, the road got blocked due to the bad blizzard conditions. Not wanting to be stuck on the road for who knows how long, we went and booked a vacation rental a little further down the mountain right there and then and turned around and stayed there for the night. It was the absolute most wonderful experience! The place we booked in a hurry turned out to be so cozy and in a really nice location! It was even more enjoyable than if we'd had reached our original destination. (105 words)
