I can't afford the CS dollars, though I've seen people offering like three July and August '08 pets, and I know that the shop pets aren't that rare.

It's not about rarity- it's about value. Apparently, this pet is valuable enough that you can't get it except by paying real money, or by trading something to someone who did. That puts it right up there with the rarer pets when it comes to worth. Or at least, it will unless the pet becomes so horrendously common that you see more of them around than you see grey 2nd gens, but since people have to pay real money to get new ones... I don't think that'll happen.

I was rather silly in my buying store items.
First month I've ever done so(First month I've ever really wanted anything. lol)
And I just kept buying the $5 package.
When honestly, I could have saved myself a little money, and bought the $10 package and have more left over.
Haha, ohh well, lesson learned for next time.
I'm betting Christmas has some amazing pets in the store, and items too.

Assuming I could find someone who would trade one, would either of the following be acceptable for a black-eyed Galaxy? I'm not sure myself, being that I wasn't here most of last year.
-Eat Me -or- Drink Me dog + White Rabbit Item set minus bunny + Pink Sept. 08 [striped one]
-Cerberus dog + ...not sure what else to add? :/ Maybe the White Rabbit set?
