Morii bared her teeth in a silent snarl. Stupid mutts. Stupid humans. She would like to just run out and...ah yes. A sneak attack. The grin she flashed Kalika was positively feral. Then she was silent, pondering. Thoughtful. A wise wolf plans the attack. That was the voice of the woman she had once called Mommy. At least, she thought it was. The few happy memories she had were namely hearing and scent. Sometimes she wondered what her parents looked like. All she had was the battered old wedding photo she kept in her wallet, and the picture was so worn and faded, well, it just didn't quite help.

"This is our home," she spoke up, blue eyes gazing around before locking on the alpha again; she didn't challenge him, didn't quite look in his eyes. Morii still remembered those rules. "Wolves don't abandon the den. If the rogues want a fight, I say we give it to them. If it keeps on like this, those bastards are going to expose us anyway. Why not come out as the saviors, instead of the cousins of those mongrels?"

As to where Morii had picked up the habit of calling rogues 'mutts' and 'mongrels' and the like, well, that was unknown. Maybe she'd started it herself, maybe she'd heard it somewhere. Either way, she made her distaste clear.

The pack call interrupted Play Time. Evans paused mid-tussle with Ranger and Georgia, lifting his head to listen to the alpha's call. His wolf stirred, growling in anticipation. Since the first sign of rogues in their territory, his wolf had become restless. It cried out for blood, roaring for the safety of his pack. Of the pups both human and wolf had taken as their own. He yelped as Georgia bit the sensitive skin between his fingers, mock-growling at the prideful Ranger as he pushed the pup over. The pups yipped excitedly, enjoying their resumed play while Evans contemplated his options. He shouldn't bring the pups to a meet--they were pups. All they could do was get under people's feet.

But, well..he couldn't leave them home alone either. As his wolf snarled about intruders and silently postured within their shared heart, Evans ended play time by means of rolling both pups over onto their backs and blowing in their faces. He smiled at their yips, then got to his feet and headed for the door. Before he even got the chance to open it, Georgia and Ranger were fighting. Just play fighting of course; the two of them were learning very quickly that getting too rough was a big no-no. Normally he would have smiled and waited a few moments, but this time they had to hurry. They were already running late.

So with a reluctant sigh, he unlocked the door, then abandoned his clothes. His shift drew the pups' attention, as usual, and he used his teeth to get the door open. He yipped at them, jerking his head towards the outside world, then followed the eager pups out, using his teeth again to close the door back up. He padded after the pups briskly, ducking his head to pick Georgia up--she was the most well-behaved of the pair, and the smallest. With his sister incapacitated, Ranger fell into step with his adopted father, looking anxiously at Evans and Georgia. He whined now and then, eager to play, but when Evans pointedly ignored him and kept right on forging through the woods, Ranger had no choice but to just scamper along beside him.

He stopped a fair distance away from the meeting place, shifting to human while the pups looked on in their usual awe, then tucked into a pair of jeans. Evans would have liked to stay wolf--lately, he liked being wolf better--but that seemed rude somehow. So he scooped up Georgia again, laying her over his shoulder; he'd discovered she was fairly happy up there and stayed in play well enough, though he always tried to keep one hand on the back of her neck just in case. He still had no idea how she stayed there after all.

Evans whistled a single short note to get Ranger's attention, drawing the boy away from a fascinating grasshopper, and strolled off. He walked into the clearing, stepped forward, and knelt before his alpha, a man he considered his friend.

"I apologize for my lateness," he murmured. "I wasn't sure whether or not I should bring the kids--" because that was what they were to him; kids--"but I didn't want to leave them home alone." On one knee before Elijah, Evans looked like a knight swearing to his liege. And after all, wasn't that exactly what he was?

Aurora looked at Elijah silently as he spoke, she scanned the others and listened as they spoke, they did have quite a few good ideas, even if she didn't want to admit it. She looked back at her Alpha, "We do have to protect the pack lands, or else we may have more then just rouges to worry about, but if the human's find out we could lose it all. So we have to be cautious, like the others said, but how close are the humans to sending out hunting parties?" she asked as she looked at the others unaware of the growing red stain on the side of her white shirt. "We shoudl watch the humans, they will take action soon, and if they don't do anything soon, we can hunt the rouges down." she suggested as she stood there.

Drake blinked, he smiled as he watched, though he didn't say anything, he had nothing more to add. He wanted the rouges gone, but he wanted to stay here also, he was a optimistic guy though, he knew the pack would overcome this, they were strong.

Rory stayed where he was even as the leader spoke. He wasn't trying to be disrespectful. Whether Elijah thought he was or not, Rory was not sure. For the most part, he kept to himself, stayed quiet and out of the way. He had never had any quarrel with Elijah and in fact, he was in agreement with the alpha on many issues. Just not on this one. He never spoke an ill word against him. Well, the general consensus seemed to be stay and fight, Rory decided it was best to speak up now before he ended up in the middle of war he didn't really feel up to.

He raised his voice sot hey could hear him from the edge of the clearing where he was still leaning against the tree, "I think its none of our business. The rogues aren't attacking us, and like you said yourself Elijah, our neighbors could be our best friends one moment and point a gun in our faces the next. If neither side can be trusted, my suggestion is not to get in the middle."

He could feel Riley's eyes on him, imagine the shock on his friend's case. He didn't care, just stayed there against his tree with closed eyes.

December's just as cold as his name would imply, but his heart has always been in the place that it's needed to be. The pack. His life before joining with this pack is something that he doesn't even like to think about, let alone talk about, so don't expect him to answer any questions that you may have regarding his past. He's strong and willing to fight for anyone within the pack that he dares call his 'family' of sorts, but he refuses to get close to any of the pack members, or anyone in general. That's just what he's taught himself to do over the years to keep himself safe and protected behind the many walls he's built around himself. The quiet, rude, uncaring person is only the person that December chooses to show to everyone. Deep inside, he truly is a kind person that most people would like, but he doesn't show that side to hardly anyone.

Description:
Raidyn is a very kind and protective person who is always looking out for what's best for the pack. He isn't the most outgoing person by any means, nor is he a 'perfect' person. If you get on his bad side, he's not always going to show you the same respect or kindness that he'd show others, but no matter what, he'll always stand up for the members of the pack. Normally, he is shy and more of a lurker than anything, but don't let that fool you. He is smart and does like to help when he can. He just prefers to lay low and keep to himself, maybe as to not disturb others.

"I know that this is our home." Elijah narrowed in on Morii, challenging her words. "But what if we end up hunting them down and the humans don't see us as their 'saviors'? There is a reason why our kind is kept a secret from them. We are alien to them. Those blind, curious creatures will fear us before anything." He smiled absently and lifted his head towards the others. "The humans can turn against us. We will be the next to be hunted, and like Aurora said, hunting parties are already being arranged. The wolf population is getting uncomfortable for them here. Even if we try and take out some of the rogues, how will we do it without attracting attention? They have been staying in the city. If we tried to lead them into these trees where we know have the upperhand, they will know it is a trap and we will become their enemies. A war will start and we get the worst of both sides-- Exposure and blows to the pack. I want everyone to weigh their options now, think about the price the pack has to pay for the decision we make."

Elijah pulled his knee up to meet its other and hugged them both to his chest. His chin rested on his folded arms as he lifted his gaze to the sky, his sensitive hearing only focused on the annoying squirrel just a few feet on top of him on a low branch. It had started chattering at the same time he did, and it was hard to make his big bad alpha speech when his background music was a noisy squirrel that insisted on raising its voice whenever he did. His brow pulled together as he tried to block out the noise, but his attempts were proving futile. As he turned his head sharply to the side in annoyance, he caught a glimpse of red in the corner of his eyes. He refocused on Aurora, one dark eyebrow raised. "Your shoulder. It's bleeding." He sighed, rubbing his forehead as the squirrel started up again. "What happened to you?"

Aurora looked at him when he spoke, she nodded slightly, trying to ignore the nattering squirrel that didn't seem to want to shut up, she just wanted to kill it, but that would seem unprofessional. She eventually began to walk over to the tree above him, to only stop when he mentioned her shoulder, she looked down and swore under her breath. She pulled down the corner of her shirt and looked at the bleeding cut. She sighed softly as she looked at Elijah, "Just a home thing." she replied. She looked up at the squirrel when it began to chatter again, she growled softly and leapt up swiftly and grabbed the furry little creature and snapped it's neck. "Stupid thing." she muttered, she looked at the squirrel and tossed it into the bushes with a soft sigh.

Selia looked at her sister carefully, she always seemed to do that, she didn't intend to, it was a force of habit to make sure Cira was okay, even though Cira never really needed her help, Cira, despite being shy could very well take care of herself, Selia trained her to fight, though she hates to fight she will when she needs to. Cira had quieted down alot since the others arrived, she hated being to close to to many others, but kept herself decently composed. Her eyes were staring at the ground even in her wolf form, the pale light blue like twin pools of sky. She blinked a bit, her white pelt made it hard for her to blend in. Selia snorted a bit casting glares at everyone else like she normally did. The two were complete opposites though they were sisters.

Selia had her father's eyes the fierce green colour, almost amber in the right light. Cira had their mother's looks. Selia thought sadly of it, as she looked at Cira, knowing she was to, they didn't really belong anywhere, but here. They honestly didn't care for the humans, Cira only said that because she wanted to be nice. In truth they wanted to leave, to find a new home, but Selia would go where ever Cira wanted to be, if Cira wanted to stay so would she. Humans were no friends of Cira's or Selia's, Humans had turned on the sisters without even knowing what they were. For this reason they didn't live in the city but a mere den unlike some of the others. They did roam the streets sometimes in search of food and clothing to seem normal.

Morii shrugged. Her eyes shifted briefly to Georgia and Ranger, tempted to call them over. She always loved to play with the pups. Actually, Morii loved to play period. But...well, she hadn't really done much playing in her new pack. Her gaze turned wistful as she looked at Elijah again, a hint of mourn in the set of her brows and the soft from of her mouth. She missed her old pack, the wolf one; she couldn't remember the werewolf one enough to miss it, though she did long for it. It had been years since she'd gotten to play. Well, with adult wolves. When Evans brought the pups back, she'd began making regular trips to see them and play with them, and help Evans be a parent. Something she'd learned from helping the pack's pups rather than from her own parents. My what melancholy thoughts you're having tonight, Morii, she remarked dryly to herself.

Her mind snapped back to the present as Elijah's comment brought her attention to the smell of blood. Damn her distraction. If she hadn't been so worked up over the rogues...Morii stood, and immediately stopped breathing through her nose. By the moon, how she hated that smell. "This is still our home," she said firmly. "If we are to be driven from it anyway, I would rather rid it of those mutts before we go." Then she strode over to Aurora. Briskly, she pulled out the roll of bandages she always seemed to have on her--she even kept them with her stashes of clothes--and stuck it into the girl's hand. "Wrap it. I'll help, if you'd like. It's not good to bleed so much." She still wasn't breathing through her nose, and even kept breathing through her mouth to a minimum. Still, she walked into the bushes to delicately pick up the squirrel, giving the other girl a scowl.

"Wasted life," was all she said, appearing to grow more and more displeased. Her eyes were starting to take on that curious glowy quality they only had in wolf form, and the irises were too wide to be considered human. She looked down at the squirrel in her hands, and huffed. Apparently she was eating squirrel tonight. Squirrel still in hand, she went to crouch by her tree again, looking restless, irritable, and still just a little bit wistful. She would go for a run when this meeting was over, she decided. Yes. She could definitely go for a run.

Evans shifted away from his alpha, apparently not in trouble for bringing the kids along--or being late, for that matter. He settled down cross-legged a few yards away from Elijah, rubbing Georgia's ears. He absently helped Ranger clamber into his lap. Ranger sat down happily, forepaws braced on Evans' leg so he could sit up and watch the adults talk. The pup looked on curiously as the mama-lady who liked to play with them talked back to Alpha. She looked unhappy. Ranger, being the gallant little ladies' man he was, wanted to go comfort her, but a glance at Daddy's unhappy face and he thought better of it. With an agitated whine, he curled up in Evan's lap, cuddling as Daddy petted him.

Evans cleared his throat politely, then put in his two sense. "Morii's right--this is our home. But..." He looked down at Ranger snuggled against his stomach, and Georgia napping on his shoulder, and shrugged with his other shoulder. "But I want these two kids to be safe. And everyone else for that matter. I don't want these intruders to ruin our happiness. I don't want to let those strays win--" his eyes flashed briefly to the amber of his wolf to show just what he thought of that idea then settled back into his usual warm blue-green--"but I don't want blood on these lands either. In war, no one wins."

Abruptly he grinned as Georgia sleepily licked his cheek, turning his head to give her a kiss on the nose. "And...and..." He hesitated, voice fading for a moment, then a sighed. "I don't want to uproot these two from a home they've only just gotten used to. It's been hard on them." He scratched Georgia's ear, well aware that he'd just taken a roundabout way of saying "I don't know."

The crisp morning air blew gently over December's sleeping wolf form as the sun
slowly began to emerge from it's hiding place behind the horizon, warming his cool pelt.
Everyone who had ever been around December long enough could tell you that he wasn't a
morning person. That much was pretty obvious. He honestly had no excuse for it either.
He just liked his rest, I suppose.

As the sound of his Alpha's call echoed through the forest, his ears perked up and he
awoke with a light huff, knowing that he needed to make his way to the rest of the pack in
a timely manner. He never was one to be on time for their little meetings nor did he
exactly enjoy them most of the time, but regardless, he knew he had to at least show up.
With a quick stretch and taking a moment to shake his pelt out, he stood up from what was
being used as his resting grounds and shifted back into his 'normal' human form. Quickly, he
slipped on a pair of dark denim jeans and a tank top before taking off to where he was
supposed to meet up with the rest of the pack. He wasn't that far away, so he didn't bother
staying in his wolf form, which probably would've helped him get there much quicker and
maybe he would've actually been on time for this meeting.

Minutes later, December arrived at the meeting place without a word, just resting himself
against a tree and his head low, blue eyed gaze resting upon the ground. He knew that his
Alpha, Elijah, didn't particularly like when anyone was late, especially without a decent
reason. So he just kept his gaze on the ground and his ears open to whatever they were
talking about, not wanting to interupt anything as to not get in more trouble than he
probably already would be in.



Raidyn's grey eyes scanned the area as the warm sun decided to show itself to the world once
again, causing the lightest of smiles to spread across his lips. He always appeared to be
thinking or daydreaming, which may be partially true, but no matter what, he knew what he
needed to do as a member of this pack. He knew all of the resposibilities that came with
being the Beta Male, and despite other people's opinions on the matter, he thought that he
did his job as he was supposed to. Afterall, he wouldn't have been made the Beta Male of
the pack for no reason, right?

He was abruptly pulled back to reality as the sound of his Alpha's call rang through
his ears, causing him to almost instantly turn and face the direction of the call in a
somewhat curious manner. As quickly as he was brought back from his dazing, he shifted and
swiftly slipped on his clothing, practically following his Alpha's call.

"Sorry I'm late, Alpha." Raidyn spoke in an honestly apologetic tone as he knelt beside
Elijah, realizing that his daydreaming had made him late for the meeting. He was normally
on time for these kind of things.. He really needed to spend less time with himself thinking
and more time with the pack trying to figure out what they needed to do.

"I agree. We need to defend out home." Kalika didn't like to go against what her Alpha was saying; it went against her morals and sense of loyalty, but this was something she felt strongly about. "If we don't stop the rouges then we might as well be helping them to kill the people who live here. How can we be any better than them if we just sit back and do nothing when people are dying?" She lifted her head then, opening herself up to stares that would probably come with her speaking to stare Elijah in the eye. He might not like what she had just said, he may not be pleased with her for saying it, but she she as hell wasn't going to hide behind her hair when he told her what he thought.

Austin, like always, stayed quiet. He wasn't the one for making decisions, he just followed orders when given. He wasn't a killer; that's why he and Kali were such a good team. He would maim the target, distract them for Kali to circle around and rip their throat out from the side or behind. She seemed to be best at doing that, almost like she didn't feel anything anymore when she killed. He glanced sideways, momentarily looking at her expression. Did she ever at one point feel anything when she killed?
