Kat glanced at Mikey, a weirded-out look on her face as he chuckled to himself. The hut was starting to warm up, but she was pretty hungry and wanted to go grab some food. She wondered if it had stopped raining yet, but couldn't go check because Sam was in front of the door.
When Carmen mentioned a tunnel, a memory flickered awake in her mind. Just ten years old or so, traveling for what seemed like ages through a tunnel until she came to the Tribe World. She hadn't been able to recall the difference between here and her old life since. "Yeah, I remember something like that... Wait, you've only been here a few days? What about everyone else?"

[Muhahahahahahahaha]

"I just got here yesterday and Eros," Mikey said as he pointed at him, still wanting to wack off his hair, "Just Rrived today by the sound of it." he said as he lied down.

"From what I've heard thus far from the others, the only two who've been here longer are you and Arctic...but Arctic, by a day. Unless..."
Carmen attempted to locate her, but eventually she just shrugged, and said,
"I dunno about Jamai, though."

Sorry, I poofed earlier. Had to wash dishes and I didn't know my post didn't go through. What did I miss?)

"I've only been here for one night," shadow-Jamai said from her dark corner.

Sam thought for a moment.
"Okaaaay, so if Carmen's been here for nine days now, I've been here for..." She paused a moment, staring at Mikey's hair that was currently sticking straight-up...
"Eight days, or something like that...?"

[Muhahahahahahahaha]

Mikey yawned, wouldn't it be great if this were all just a dream? He thought to himself. He looked around the room, it was very warm, very comfortable. "How long we've been here isn't the issue at hand. The issues at hand are how we got here, why we are here, and how we get back... which we will probably be able to figure out if we know the answer to the first question." he said then looked at the ceiling, for no apparent reason "Damned old hag..." he muttered to himself.

"Hey, Mikey," Carmen commented, sitting down and staring at the ceiling.
"You also remember your past, right? What was it like?" she asked suddenly, curiosity seeping into her voice.
"I don't mean to pry or anything- just curious."

[Muhahahahahahahaha]

Mikey shrugged "This and that, [censored] parents, messed up school life, needless to say not many people liked me. but my brother was supposed to be coming home... probably right about now... So I kinda wish I was back there. At least for tonight." he said and sighed. "How about you? You didn't forget either did ya?" he asked, fairly curious himself.

"No...I didn't." Carmen replied, sighing.
"Let's see...my family was well off, I guess, but only because my parents worked a lot. So I wasn't that close to either of them, and I had this woman, Mary, who looked after me instead. I didn't like her very much to begin with. Went to private school, which is okay, if you have friends. We were a group of six, but then three moved away...Rin and Matthew became a couple...oh, yeah, and...my mum left the family...and my dad died. So I'm fine with being here." she finished quickly, anger just seeping into her voice at the end.
In truth, she hated her mother. Her father as well, but she knew she couldn't blame him for dying...it wasn't his fault he got ill. Her mother didn't have to leave, it was her choice- a horrible one at that.
She hated Rin and Matthew. Whenever they had a spat, Carmen would do her best to comfort Rin, perhaps to really become friends like they were, but they always got back together and, for the most part, ignored her. Mary, she detested; when the old bag noticed she was gone, she was probably just using all of their money to make herself nice and comfortable.
So, really, Carmen was happy that Destiny had taken her to this place. Maybe, if she was lucky, she would get to stay.
