Kat rolled her eyes. "Who is 'She'?" the girl asked, not bothering to hide her annoyed tone. Still, she had some weird trust with them, and opened the door slowly to let them in. With a glare at Cara, she growled, "Lay a hand on me and you'll be no more than tinder for my fireplace." As soon as everyone had entered, she slammed the door shut, blocking out the rain. She looked around at them, eyebrows raised expectantly.

"'She' is Cara, a native, and do you have my shirt?" Mikey asked taking off his violin case as he laughed a little. He set the case down by the door.

Sam bit back a chuckle and plopped down beside the hearth of the fireplace, heat warming her bones.
She glanced for a moment at a sizzling, black hole in the floor.
"Lava...?" she muttered and peared down the hole. It seemed to go on for three or four meters, with a faint light flickering down at the bottom of it.

Katrina turned to Mikey, a blunt expression on her face. "Nah, I burned it an hour or so when it was raining again and my fire was going out." She liked Mikey, so she tried to make her choice sound just. "I was desperate. I could have died of hyper-thorn-ia or whatever that thing where you freeze ti death is. Just like I was a few minu-" Kat cut herself off. She dared not to share weaknesses with these people. She had no reason to trust them any more than anyone else. "Anyway, I don't remember or know anyone's name except youuu-Carmel? And that girl you just introduced but gave me no name for, Cara. I'm Kat." As she suggested Carmen, she pointed at her with a wiggling finger as though accusing someone and saying, I'm telling! When she spoke of her own name, a hint of pride ignited in her voice. She'd always admired it. The girl heard Sam mention her fire and turned briefly to nod, but didn't bother to say how she'd... produced it.

Sam nodded.
"Okaaaay... I'm Sam," she said, holding out her hand and standing up - which made her around five inches taller than Kat...
Sam was a little tall for her age, which made it sort of awkward when she stood beside someone extremely short... No offense to short people. (;'D)

Mikey laughed "Well if it was absolutely nesesary for your survival..." Mikey said laughing as he sat down. His hair was sticking straight up by now, from the nuetrons in the lightning. "But do you know where we can get something to eat?" he asked curiously, and hungrily.

"Yes...I do recall you telling Jamai and I that earlier...which is why I already knew your name...mine's Carmen, by the way." Carmen replied, smiling.
"Anyway, how long have ya been here, Kat?" she asked politely, glancing around. It was quite warm in there...it wasn't unpleasant, but...

Katrina stood stoic, still as serious as she had been for the past... How long had it been? She looked at Sam's hand with at first a look of confusion, then disgust as she flicked it away. "I think there's some cafe-food-place down the street. Nothing particularly tasty but..." She shrugged, arms crossed. Kat turned to face Carmen to answer her question. "I dunno. Quite a few seasons, maybe four to six summers? Why do you ask?"

Mikey thought about that for a moment, if Kat had been here that long then who knew how much longer she would be here, how much longer any of them would be here?! In a sence that was great, but in another sence it was absolutely terrible. But there was a place with food around the corner? Of course there was and they had probably walked right past it, he thought to himself chuckling.

"Hmm..." Carmen thought about this, but soon answered,
"Because, you're like us- ah, I'll get to that later. Most of us...just came through the tunnel...were just brought here. I've only been here nine days..." she pondered why Kat would be taken here before all of them- but, she decided that it didn't matter much. Kat had been living with her powers for longer, here in the Tribe World for longer...
Perhaps she knew something important?
