In terms of cancelling unaccepted gifts, I usually wait a month tbh. I'll clean out rotting trades in the beginning of January to start fresh but cancelling gifts, even if they've been sitting for a month, feels gross. That's also why I tend to gift other holibombers as opposed to random users because in my experience they tend to be a little more active since they have signed up.

And a tip for people to get gifts, add monthlies to your wishlist. Seeing "Pets on your partner's wishlist (2875)" is SO much easier to work with than "Pets on your partner's wishlist (8)"

I'm there with you on waiting for people to accept gifts. I've been itching for two people in particular to get online because I can't wait to see their reactions * o *

Also, this! Even if it's not a pet you're missing, having more options is always helpful. Can't tell you how many times I've struggled to think of what a person will like and had to go through their pets/profile in hopes of finding anything, and then feeling a bit anxious because I still don't know what'll make them happy/smile.

Agrees, or I also find helpful if they have what species or themes of pets they like in their trade rules. Or if they have any hoards etc.
I put that I collect calico cats in my trade rules and people have been sending me lots of them (but to be fair I also have them in my WL)

this ^^ i keep my WL to collections im trying to complete for the most part, but i have a list of the kinds of pets i enjoy collecting/hoarding in my trade rules, and my favorite bombs have been from people who read them and just gave me pets they thought i'd like based off of them ;0;
