Hoard Discussions Thread v.7!

well, i can officially take 10 more pets off my wishlist because i finally collected 1000 easter 2023 dwarf hamsters!!! although they were easy to trade for and i could pick most of them up for cheap or even for free, it was so fun looking in every nook and cranny of the site for good deals on these fellas!

having so many of these guys kind of makes me want to go through and see how many of each outcome i happened to collect and the differences between the omgsc and vc amounts. maybe i will at some point!

as much as i loved collecting them, i’m glad it’s over and that i got it done before the new year!

I'm curious to know.. have any of you decided to hoard any of the event pets so far?? I almost hoarded the snowy guinea pig from Day 2, but I ended up not.

I have decided however to hoard these pretty babies;


They're too pretty not to, plus I'm a huge sucker for finches, which is what today's bird litter remind me of!

As pretty as all of them are, I think I'll just hoard the dark variant, since they remind me of brambling finches (my favorite type of finch ^.^)

so far I haven't seen much I'm tempted by-- I thought about the snakes, but my heart isn't set on them ;-; but those birds are so pretty!! the urge to start a hoard of the litter is very tempting :eyes: the dark outcome is my fav as well but I really like the lighter-headed ones, especially next to each other... i almost want to try my first checker with those two outcomes :3 although I think I'm gonna wait till the end of the event, especially since all my fodder is going towards secret santa hunting lol

my dwarf hamster hoard is going along well given that i started it not too long ago (: something i struggle with is that i know i'm realistically not going to collect every one which kinda bothers me bc i wanna be at 100% completion, same w/ rats
regardless i think the rats and dwarf hamster are super cute so im def gonna keep doing it! my faves from each:


im thinking of collecting all snakes bc they're so recent and i adore snakes................ better start now rather than later!!!

i feel like the snake w/ the green sweater would be awesome it looks so velvety and its my fave color, but im not sure yet!

Kinda digging the squid; I'm tempted to try hoarding it so I can change the background and have one for each color of the rainbow. The fact it's translucent had me so confused! I thought there were multiple outcomes I missed. 😂 Def a v tempting hoard. 😂

So for hoards that overlap, how do you decide which hoard the pet goes into?
For example; I have SEVERAL line art hoards (PPS Deer, ect) and a couple color based hoards (pastel, ect) and then of course some litter hoards.
If you had a pet that fell into all three of those categories hoard wise, what is your preference for placement? Would you do litter mates first? If you're not hoarding the litter and it falls into a lineart group and a color group, which one would you Ultimately put it in? I struggle with this alot, and would love to hear how others decide! ☺️

If I'm hoarding a litter, I immediately put it there first!

If I'm not hoarding a litter I personally go off of which hoard has the least amount of pets if it fits in multiple categories!

If I know I have multiples of that same pet, I'll look and see which hoard I placed those in and go with that!

Lol, I'm asking myself: "What am I going to do now?"

I have a hoard of sleep fairy butterfly wolf items. I love the blue sleep fairy butterfly wolf, and I would love to make a combined pet and item hoard. However, I would need purple and green sleep fairy butterfly wolves, too, to actually make that work.



There's also my hoard of green snake plushies, which I have added to today's snake plushie snake. I really need a hoard of rainbow snake plushies, too, now.
