my ideas for themes that some of the litters may have!:
i’ll update this more as they grow but here are some ideas i have so far:
horses: sticker horses! maybe as they grow older they get more stickers on them! (their outline also reminds me of a sticker)
ponies: eyes? maybe they’ll change into different eye colors but the base color is brown since the brown eye gene is the dominant gene next to blue/green eyes?
butterfly wolves: definitely getting cowboy/western vibes because of the caterpillar but we’ll see!
junie . they/them

I've never posted anything like this before but the sight of the new Kangaroo store pets has brought me here to see if anyone else had trouble recognising their species before reading the caption, due to the strange stumpy front legs and unnatural body position.

As seen in this image Kangaroos have very long, thin front legs, with the front and back legs a similar length and it would be quite impossible for a real Kangaroo to crouch down in the aforementioned way chosen for these adoptables. I know there is a thing called artistic licence but unless there is a backstory involving a T-rex parent, I think things have been taken a little far here, especially as these are pets expected to be payed for with C$.
I am purely commenting on the pets here, didn't even read the name of their artist. I just think it's important that if a pet is being being described as a particular species or breed of real-life animal then it should be recognisable.

Stuff like this doesnt really bother me because we have a lot of similar examples on cs already. They remind me of the easter pets we get! Like this years
lions, the 2019
monkeys, or the 2016
deer.

They're rabbits, but also very obviously lions, monkeys, and deer. When looking at the otters, I understood that they were kangaroos, in the "otter, but also kangaroo" way that chicken smoothie tends to do things
I don't think the store pets were intended to look like a perfect representation of a kangaroo, i think they were meant to be otters that look like kangaroos. Especially considering these are the first otter store pets so they probably had to be recognizable. Honestly i thought the pps otter as the joey was a slam dunk! I wonder if that idea inspired the whole set haha

I don't think those pets are supposed to be rabbits. I think they're just the pets with rabbit ears and tails as a sort of "dressed up to look like a rabbit" since that is a thing around Easter. They're made almost every year.
I don't think the otters were the best lines to use ( I think the western dragons would have gotten the idea across better) but I think they still look good as edits. The actual line edits themselves blend pretty seamlessly to the otter lines.

Well, the artist had to modify a base. CS is a cartoon game, so it's not going to be realistic!
Artists have been making other animals on different bases for years now. It's probably not easy.
Rainbow kangaroos aren't realistic too. It's just for fun.
I think Concept did an amazing job

There where a ton of these during the summer event!
