Help with understandequal rarity for pets/items when trading

hi there, im a returning member from 2012 and I just need help with trades and determining the rarity of items and pets. All of my stuff is from around 2012 and older, maybe 2014 im not sure, and im just wondering if the dates of the pets effect trading at all? Also with items I have no idea about, what is fair and what do people do? I just dont want to be scammed out of something and I dont want to scam anyone else, haha

Hey there!

Things are still being figured out within the community when it comes to trading with the new rarity update that happened. I would recommend the fair trade thread to ask about trades you're unsure about, or the pet worth thread to ask about pets you may be unsure about.

There are a couple threads where values are currently being discussed, mainly this guide and this discussion thread. Something I've seen a lot of people adopt is the "3 year rule" when it comes to newer pets (2013-2014+ usually, but it depends on the person), where pets of the same rarity within 3 years of each other can be swapped.
