I don’t believe what we acknowledge as “ghosts” are deceased people visiting us, or at least not conscious versions of them. I’ve never really researched the topic, but from what I’ve experienced… there’s no real groundwork for the claims. I think that when we pass away we “return to the elements,” since that is basically what we’re made of. I think it’s cooler to think of myself as a result of the universe’s things interacting, and I don’t need to continue forever, or even have a soul, to validate my own existence. As for what I think they are, I wouldn’t know. I haven’t thought a lot about it. I knew someone who thought that we leave energy imprints or something. If there’s some energy or whatnot left over, OK. But if I’m forced to float around as some conscious (at least as we know it as humans) invisible thing after I die, that would actually be hell. I’m always open to hearing ghost stories. Maybe I just wasn’t chosen to experience these things.

I don't like candy, but I did buy myself a fancy little bar of chocolate as a holiday treat. Grown and made in my area, with a little bit of sea salt and sugar. (I don't like chocolate either, at least most of the time, but I'll eat the good stuff in small quantities the same way people do cheese or wine tasting. (Am I allowed to say that?)
