Needed Item Name Change - [Resolved]

I wanted to address some items today that rubbed me the wrong way as an African American. Firstly items for hair were name "kinky" this hair was obviously 4b/4c and I found that title unfortunate as Type 4 hair is often called "kinky' as a means of demeaning black hair I was not a fan. I suggest the hairs name be changed to "coily to highlight the hair's actual texture.

Then an item called "plantation" a play on words for plant and station but is that cute or playful considering the history of pain on plantations across the world. I suggest the name of the item be changed to "terrarium" . This one I frankly cannot understand how could anyone think plantation was an appropriate name for an item!

I'm not saying the name's of these items are evil im just saying they need to be changed because the titles are not culturally informed or appropriate. I am continuing to ask for a change in title

this should maybe be moved to the suggestions board and edit your main post slightly to link to said items in the archive and suggest what could be done instead ^^

I moved the forum post to the suggestions and the moment the topic was labeled as "racist" in the title the forum was locked. This is disheartening because this is a suggestion and needs to be acknowledged as what it is individuals using insensitive terms rooted in what is racism!

I don’t think your other thread was locked because it had the word “racist” in the title, it was probably because you had another thread addressing the same problematic items. But yes, I agree that something needs to be done about this.
