Your Hive starts out at Size 0, where you can only have 1 Voidwalker. You can upgrade this with Hive Comb.

To get to Size 1 (10 total Voidwalker spaces), it costs 250 Hive Comb.
Each size up until Size 10 is 250 Hive Comb.

Sizes 11-20 are 500 Hive Comb

Sizes 21-30 are 750 Hive Comb

Sizes 31-60 are 1000 Hive Comb

Sizes 61-100 are 2000 Hive Comb
