think "bad boy with a soft spot" trope. big metalhead. seems quiet and kinda unapproachable at first, but once you get talking to them they're really nice, actually. probably has one weirdly specific interest or hobby that they don't talk about to anyone ever but are dying to. you should ask them about it sometime. earbuds are always in and i have a feeling the music is blasting so loud you can hear it if you stand close enough (bless their eardrums). might've been in a band at some point.
