it's not a recent thing but david gordon green, and the way he produced the recent halloween trilogy. i've always enjoyed his work, but i got a huge book for my birthday that basically documented the making of the three movies and it's a fantastic read. i've learned a lot more about him and the cast through it, and why they went certain routes they did for each movie. a lot of them have really mixed reviews, but in my personal opinion the movies weren't made for just any audience, and he took that risk. there were even parts/acts/tropes i didn't really care for in ends especially, but i respect him for that move.

yes omg! the other day I made a deer skull mask from foam and tinfoil for the renaissance fair, it ended up looking super cool! if I can find a picture ill edit this post and add it!

i haven't had a lot of time to read lately (other than a heap of scholarly articles grr) but i listened to the audiobook version of jennette mccurdy's i'm glad my mom died a few weeks ago and just... wow. highly recommend it to any other adult members here on cs that are searching for a new read. but also be careful as some of the topics may be distressing!

a lot of the pop music on the radio these days rly irks me (sans taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, charli xcx, dua lipa, etc. -- i absolutely adore all the female pop artists of this decade so far). but like... the 2010s was literally a GOLDEN AGE for pop music and idk what happened. mayb the pandemic had something to do with it?? idk. but i particularly can't stand AJR and the kid laroi. i don't know how both of these artists manage to make music that is so overproduced while simultaneously being so lyrically and sonically lazy :/

i dont tbh. I dont have any IRL friends because after high school I moved away and didnt keep in touch, and I dont leave my apartment except for work. so my internet friends occupy my free time. along with other digital activities like digital drawing and writing and video games. I'm honestly pretty lonely a lot of the time and scrolling forums and playing forum games lessens that a little bit.

Every year, my favorite is the gravy. I love drenching my turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes in turkey gravy. I use the gravy packets that come with the turkey and that stuff is dangerously addictive. I love apple pies for dessert, but this year we had pumpkin which is good all the same
