{ pspspsps to Concept to confirm spooder species 👉👈 I realized I actually suggested spider rats w orb weaver designs last year, and I absolutely gotta hoard these babies now. I learned about them bc I had a lot of spiny orb weavers, and some golden silks, around my house last summer, and I really like them! they're very chill and eat mosquitos and wasps so they're awesome company in the South, not to mention they're very pretty c: ♡

agreed, i would love to know the inspiration for these. they remind me of beetles

Teumessian Fox - The fox who could never get caught
- Laelaps - the dog who caught everything it hunts

The mythology is that Laelaps gets sent to hunt the Teumessian fox creating a paradox, turning them both to stone & cast them into the stars creating the constellations Canis Major (Laelaps) and Canis Minor (Teumessian Fox) (which you can see on the cs pet design if you look closely hehe)

Ohhh! I was wondering what the constellations were for. I never would've thought a litter would come out on Halloween based on constellations! That's pretty cool

You're correct on both green spiders! A type of spiny Orb Weaver and Bunny Harvestman, in more common terms XD (I just really like bunny harvestman XDD) I actually accidentally used the lines for a demon orb weaver spine arrangement on the Spiny Orb Weaver but I liked it so much that I kept it as is XD

Red is also correct. I've also seen it called gasteracantha arcuata? Must be a name that is interchangeable! Common name is Curved Spiny Spider

Blue variant is the micrathena gracilis, a blue variant I found and liked (they're usually white!). The common name is Spined Micrathena which is kinda funny that it includes part of the species name in it XD

I'm glad you guys like them! Spiny spiders felt super appropriate for halloween!
