I love this guy! Super nostalgic old litter vibes. Simple but sweet.

All of the "Animal Shoulder" dogs really resonate with me. That's what I've been calling them, at least.

A super cute, common pet with bright colors that are rather pleasing to the eye and a theme that ties the whole litter together. They're hoard material for me.

The only thing that bothers me about the litter is the bits of green on the purple dog. If it was a little more incorporated I think it'd look better. Also for some reason it just feels "out of place" to me next to the rest of the litter? It feels like something in the face, as well, but I can't quiiite place it.

I haven't really wanted to hoard something based on design alone since I joined in 2016, but I'm really tempted.

Y’know what would be cool to see? Dogs inspired by the Ginga/Silver Fang mangas and animes (Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Denetsu Weed), or just akitas in general. If you haven’t read or seen Ginga, you totally should. The anime is amazing so far!

Please be aware that we cannot 'steal' copyrighted material, so it would probably be more vague or just have real Akita coat colours instead of showing the Ginga characters.

i think theyre meant to be based on old VHS tapes! the first adult looks very much like the "The More You Know" image which was from an old VHS informational tape, and all of the dogs share a grainy texture and slight haze on their colourings which is common of VHS recordings.

thats my take, anyway! they dont resemble any specific pride flags im aware of (other than incidentally) :3

edit to add: the adult with the three stripes on its tail reminds me of old blank vhs tape boxes:



the t-120 was a pretty popular vhs tape for home recordings!

Ooh that's cool! I already knew about the "The More You Know" thing but I didn't know about the T-120!
Imagine if the white doggo was based on VHS generation loss? Pretty unlikely tho
