He growled annoyed at the perfect timing of the storm. Shaking his head free of raindrops streaming in his face, he looked at his King. "There is always something that can be done." He looked around the clearing, now darkened by the storm. Padding forward a few steps he sniffed the ground just to be sure. Nothing.

:Arianna Bloodheart:
The rain making her red fur stick to her lean frame, she wandered around the edge of the clearing, trying to find some form of trail or scent. Unsuccessful, she whined and glanced around the wolves huddled in a group around Tristen and Rowan. Her paw stuck to something ad looking down, saw t was the dark brown mud, and there beside it...paw prints and the signs of a struggle leading into the forest beyond. She gave a short howl. "Over here!"

_Rowan's heart leap for a moment, then crashed to the ground. "When it was just a small group of them, we would have been able to beat them. But back at their camp... There will be dozens of them. We can't fight that." He paused for a moment, looking thoughtful. "But maybe... Thane. Come here."

Thane looked over at his King. Confused and upset at losing his mentor he walked over. "Yes, King Rowan?"
