prompt answer ; Hailey looks in awe as the spirit box starts up, what a cool device! She doesn't understand why Lucas possibly couldn't like it, surely a bit of noise was worth being able to converse with a spirit? She sits down with the rest of the goobies as they took it in turns to ask questions to the spirit in the hopes of getting a response. She wilts a bit as more and more questions go unanswered, although she guesses she couldn't really blame Winchester, they did kind of break into her room, if it still counts as her room if she's a spirit? Hailey wouldn't blame her if she was annoyed by that and the fact they'd then bombarded her with questions. Just as she and others in the group were starting to lose hope, someone asked a question that got a response. At the sound of the spirit box forming words she immediately perked up. Winchester had responded, and she'd said she didn't mind being contacted, that was nice of her!

bellatrix perked up upon hearing the response, the ghost seemed kind enough to respond so hopefully nothing bad would happen to the group. "we should be careful with any questions we ask, we wouldnt want to upset Winchester and scare her away!" bellatrix spoke to the room before any of the others could begin questioning the ghost.

Anokhi was not sure what was in store for her with the device. She flinched and ended up having to cover her own ears at the squealing it made. She was curious about the device. Could it really work to contact spirits? Or were the sounds it returned just a frequency from some other source playing them off as if it were something they were waiting to hear? She was shocked hearing the reply. Though it was general enough that it could have come from something else. Either way, she could only think of a mental shrug in response. Anokhi looked around at everyone, seeing that some had excited faces, while others had looks of doubt. Now that they had heard...something... what was the next course of action?

The group surrounded Marcus who was holding the spirit box. A few goobies asking questions...

"Why is this hotel haunted?" Alistaire questioned, after some silence the same polite voice answered. "I'm... not... so sure... A lot of ... us ... just find ... this place ... calming ..." Huh... I mean at least its not haunted for a bad reason! I'm glad that they could find peace somewhere in the afterlife...

"How long have you been here for?" Someone asked, silence kicking in. "A... few decades... I enjoy it here..." A few decades?! Wow... at least it was by choice... Right?

"Is there a reason why you chose this room?" Lucas pondered. "Someone... used one of those boards... here... I stay here in hopes ... that they return... with it..." One of those boards? What board? Lucas thought for a second. The group looked confused at the goobie, as you can tell that a lightbulb had gone off in his head. Lucas rummaged through his bag, pulling out one of his favorite toys. A Ouija board of course! Maybe Winchester was talking about a ouija board! "We might as well give it a shot. Right Marcus?" He said nudging his partner, knowing he wasn't fond of it. "Fine fine! Just this once because she seems nice!" He said.

After setting the board up on the floor, Lucas welcome Winchester to speak through the Ouija board. Now it was time to ask the questions!

"This hotel certainly is quite calming, looking closer," Alistaire spoke up in reply, a smile tugging the corners of his mouth upwards. "I'm happy that you've found a place you can call home in the afterlife, Winchester." When the friendly spirit mentioned the board, silvery eyes followed Lucas' hands as he rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a Ouija board. It seemed as though the two goobies leading the expedition were well-prepared with many spiritual tools to help them seek out the ghosts and spirits calling the haunted hotel home.

With the board now settled onto the floor in the middle of the hotel room, the clamoring group of goobies all fell silent, thinking up questions to ask Winchester. Alistaire thought to himself for a moment, before blinking slowly.

"Are there other friendly spirits here like yourself?"

Perhaps someone had summoned Winchester's spirit here with the board a long time ago, giving her a tangible form whenever the board was present-- though, who could have brought so many spirits to this place?

prompt answer ; Lily listens quietly as Winchester responds to the questions. She is glad that the hotel is a nice, calm place for the spirits here. She is surprised to hear that Winchester has been here for a few decades now; that could probably explain why she has never heard of her before. Lily is curious what Winchester is talking about at the mention of someone using a board in the room. What kind of board? Fortunately, Lucas seems to know what that means because he takes out a strange board she has never seen before. Upon looking a little closer at it, Lily realizes it looks kind of similar to the honk board that Rune and Bram used to communicate with Jystyr, except this one has a lot more letters on it. Well, she supposes that if this board worked similarly to the honk board, she could see how Winchester could use it to communicate with them as well.
Watching curiously as Lucas sets the board up, Lily ponders what question she should ask Winchester. She listens as a few other goobies ask their questions first, before eventually deciding on one herself. "What is your favorite color?" Really, she just wants to learn more about Winchester, though she does not want to bring up anything that might potentially upset the spirit, so she decides to start with a relatively basic question. She is inwardly quite curious about why Winchester likes the board so much, considering she specifically stayed in this room just in case someone would bring one here again, but she decides not to ask. Maybe it was just easier for her to use it to communicate than any other devices? There was usually some silence before Winchester responded to the questions using the spirit box after all, so perhaps she was not as used to using spirit boxes as the board?

Anokhi's eyes grew very wide at the sight of the board. "You...you really should not mess around with those boards," she spoke out in a quiet voice. No one seemed to be listening to her though and the board was soon set up in the room. While muttering under her breath, "Nope, nope, nope, nope," she made her way out of the room. She had to squeeze past a few Goobies to do so but soon made it into the hallway once more.

She looked around for Fospher. A momentary wave of panic washed over her. She thought she might have left him inside the room with her panicked retreat. The Goole gave a small squeak near her back paws. She breathed out a sigh of relief and picked him up, hugging him close to her for comfort. Talking to her small companion, she said, "I'm not going to risk summoning darker things from the realm of the dead or beyond. They don't know that what they are talking with is even who they think it might be, let alone its motives for them using the board. It could have nefarious schemes in mind. Better to be out here with you." She closed her eyes and nuzzled him to her cheek.
