Something had called Grim to this place, away from his fathers and into a mystery he had no idea where to even start with. "I'll level with you... I don't know why I feel such a pull to come here or what we will find," he tells the group with a nervous smile, adjusting his glasses. "But I feel like... it's important to investigate." He looks to the massive cathedral behind him, pensive.

"...As you know, goobies cannot die. But many here swear just the same this place is haunted, and that strange things keep happening here ever since the Gob left us. So gang, there's a mystery to solve and I think together we can do it! Let's do our best!"

And so begins a walk into the Cathedral of the Cursed. Is it haunted somehow? Or is something else altogether at play? Time to find out once and for all!

Grim adjusted his glasses for what had to be the tenth time as he looked over the group again. "...So haunted cathedral... there it is," he manages to stammer out. He was nervous around so many goobies, unsure that this was even the right thing to do. Why did he feel so compelled to seek out and figure out this place anyways? Behind him loomed a tall and massive cathedral, a holy place to the Gob. It was left in slight disrepair, the stained glass murals cracked and broken. There was dust, and a air of strange... foreboding. But also adventure. Grim looked it over a moment before looking back at the goobies he had managed to gather.

"Thank you for coming... my name is Grim. And well, some of you may know my fathers Monteclaire and Tamale? He said goobies do love adventure and helping so... will you help me discover if this place is haunted or not? Goobies cannot die but strange things keep happening here. I am drawn to find out why! Can you tell me a bit about yourselves, your skills?"

As the Cathedral came into view, Alistaire felt a shiver run up his spine, the fur on his back beginning to raise. Just what was causing goobies to be drawn to this clearly cursed place? The shattered stained glass windows and crumbling dilapidated structure were clearly not well taken care of for quite some time due to the Gob's passing... with that thought, Alistaire cleared his throat and began to speak. "I am Alistaire, Archivist of the Divine Castle Derelict. My expertise lies in the translation and transcribing of ancient texts, as well as the study of structures such as this one," he speaks with a smile, despite his prior anxiety about entering the ruined cathedral. "If there's anything in there that is in a mysterious language, perhaps my skills will be of assistance. I am happy to assist in any way that I can while we explore this mysterious place."

His feathers ruffle slightly as the group of goobies make their way inside, curious silvery-white eyes studying the darkness ahead. He can just barely make out a row of crumbling pillars, rows of doorways just beyond shrouded in murk...

Gauntlet gazed up at the mysterious building with glittering eyes. What magnificent architecture! She had never seen anything like this, mostly due to the fact she’d been trapped in a lake for most of her life. She almost didn’t hear the request to introduce herself, but after a moment her ears perked up and she answered.
“I’m the Guardian of the Gilded Lake… a fathomless creature that lacks a name. However, you may call me Gauntlet; it is the name of the current body I’m inhabiting.”
She hummed, thinking about what else to say.
“As for skills, I am rather observant, and I’d like to consider myself an expert of precious metals and treasure.” She answered, “And, of course, I can fight, bending gold to my will… although, my powers can be unpredictable, in this stifling shell. Hopefully there won’t come a time where we need to defend ourselves, hm?”

Ebony steps up past the four brothers with a soft sigh and pushes the four rambunctious teens as they bounce around excitedly behind him, Crimson grabbing for Tangerines tail and Navy watching them looking like he was seconds away from joining the brawl with his brothers since he no longer was the oldest of the group.

Ebony chuckles before shaking his head, "I am Ebony, these four gremlins uncle." He explains, tail flicking through the air his bright silver eyes almost ghostly and unseeing but not milky like Navy's own scared eye.

"These are Navy," he starts pointing at the blue scarfed goobie. "Crimson," this time he points at the one with a red bandana around his front leg and scars over his nose. "Lilac," He motions towards the one with a purple bandana around their back leg now, they seem to have a rather curious scar under their horn, Ebony pauses glancing around before sighing.

"And Tangerine..." He stops his motioning towards the one with a bright orange scarf around their tail, the gooey wings and halo a softer orange but they seemed to have paper horns taped half hazardly to their head, one looks slightly bent but that may be from the older goobie now pinning them to the dirt as they screeched.

"Navy!" Ebony barks turning around, glaring the blue scarfed goobie down who just looks back at him before snorting and stepping off the youngest brother who sits up with a harsh snort and then launches himself at Navy with an enraged screech.

Ebony looks on pained, why did he offer to bring them here again?

Capra was practically vibrating with excitement. This was it's thing. Spookiness, ghosts, cryptids, dark cursed cathedrals. Oh hell yeah. His back spines quaked as he tried to contain himself.

"I'm Capra, ya local demon boy. He/it. Cryptid of the night." He grinned. "My skills include being cool, and looking awesome."

The diab took pride in being obnoxiously annoying. It was definitely one of its better skills.

"I'm also good at seeing in the dark and making friends with fellow spooky-enthusiasts. Nice to meet you all!"

Entry: Lily had enthusiastically agreed to help discover whether or not the cathedral is haunted, and when her sibling Hope and best friend Shell found out about it, they decided to tag along as well. After all, Lily was always so excited about meeting ghosts; Hope and Shell kind of wanted to see what they were like as well! So, the trio joined the group gathered around Grim and listened as he explained about the adventure to come.
When their turn to introduce themselves arrived, Lily spoke up first. "Hi, my name is Lily! It is nice to meet you!"
"I'm Shell," Shell added shyly with a small wave.
"And I'm Hope!" Hope finished with a cheerful smile.
The trio then glanced between each other, none of them being the type to confidently talk about their own skills. Fortunately, Lily quickly found a solution, and began talking about the other two's skills. "Shell has a great memory, and is an excellent listener! Hope is really encouraging and supportive, and very clever!"
Once she finished, Hope spoke up. "And Lily is very caring, always willing to help however she can! Plus she's super determined, once she sets her mind to something, she'll never give up!"

Mayhem took a deep breath. Xe had heard the stories of the Cathedral, how it was abandoned after the fall of the dark Gob, but xe never expected it to be this... ruined. It was clearly in disrepair, and xe made a promise with xeself to come back and fix that.
But first, introductions. "My name is Mayhem, xe/xem. I'm the resident scientist of my town, and I've headed multiple experiments attempting to communicate or resurrect the lost Gob. Hopefully, I can use what I find here to lead another experiment, this time with better results."

"Am Bubs," Bubs says, head tilted to the side so his floppy ears hang down. "Have many skills. Can hold lots. Look." He then stands straight again before pulling a host of items from inside his fur and hair. There were all sorts of handy things in there. Some could definitely come in handy while exploring.

He then grins wide, showing off his sharp teeth." Am here to find friends. Ghost friends. Goobie friends. And for fun. Have lots of fun."

“hi! i’m neptune!” he smiled. “i thought we were here to trick or treat,” he motioned to his candy basket, “but i guess i can repurpose it if needed..?” he was a bit nervous, but continued to stick around anyways to see what’d happen.

“my skills..? um...” the diab took a moment to think. “i can throw really good parties! and i think i’m really good at decorating!” perhaps those skills may not help in this situation, but at least it was something, neptune figured.
