I was really hoping we'd end up with an outcome that had more green than orange. And that's coming from the #1 Orange Lover I just really like this color combo!

i dont post on discussion threads a ton (not for any particular reason i just get nervous LOL) but!! im SO excited to see where this outcome ends up going compared to the rest of the litter!!! the entire litter looks /super/ neat even if its not my fave of this month's but this outcome has me Intrigued...

also ive mentioned this before elsewhere but i am obsessed with the film reel snakes. two of my favorite characters of all time have old-timey film motifs and my fave pet lineart on the website is easily the snakes so you can imagine how thrilled i am LOL. quickest hoard ive ever started

Haha, well, Stars are pretty!!

Auriga is an old world constellation, and one of the modern 88!! It is most visible in the Northern Hemisphere and is also known as the Charioteer, representing the son of Hephaestus and founder of Athens, Erichthonius--who was the inventer of said chariot, according to Myth. Of course, this is just one of many versions of the tale of this constellation!

Corona Australis, or Southern Crown, similarly is most visible in the southern hemisphere. It is often connected with Sagittarius, either having fallen off his head or being discarded arrows he had held in his hand. In Roman myth, Bacchus placed this wreath in the sky to honor his human mother.

Thank you so much for this wonderfully informative piece in regards to Auriga and Corona Australis! I admittedly have very little knowledge regarding most constellations, so it's always a treat to learn about any singular one of them especially one that I'm not familiar with ^_^

I'm glad to hear that you all are enjoying the ratties! As for the inspiration, it's a bit out there but I've been on a bit of a Miraculous Ladybug binge; my fiancée and I rewatched the whole series together while we were waiting for the final episodes of season 5 to be watchable on Disney+. They're specifically inspired by the wild combo of orange and peppermint ice cream, mentioned in the season 3 episode "Heart Hunter." Not a flavor that I think I would particularly enjoy taste wise, but the colors were cute to work with!

REAL !! im not as huge on movies but paulo ravinski (from universal's halloween horror nights) and the projectionist (from a super niche series i love called the architect trilogy) are two kf my favorite characters of All Time and they both have a huge old film motif!!!! the snakes make me so so happy <:] (also mickey from scream 2 is a film buff!!! another bonus bc i love him)

I too absolutely adore old film motifs and the whole vibe of it all so I'm right here with you both shaking your hands XDDD plus there's so many aspects to enjoy! I admit I also just adore the sound of a movie projector starting up, it's such an iconic sound

Agreed on the snakes! I especially love the second outcome and I can't wait to see what the others will look like when finally grown; now if only my luck hadn't left me... all of mine but one turned into the first outcome, and the only other into the second.
