Extra: The other wermz gathered around Geia, their eyes wide, as he emerged from the pit. He generally always looked frightened, he was an anxious werm, they knew it was in his nature- but this time was different. Something was amiss.
Shiso steps forward- "I'm not letting you go back in there."
"Shiso, you don't understand. Something is in there. I have to get to the bottom of it. I have to figure out what's waiting in the pit. I know it better than any werm here and I'm not letting the rest of you go through that. I have to go back."
"No. You're exhausted, dehydrated, clearly shaken up. You're taking this weekend to recover. We all need to stay away from this pit for now. Once a couple days have passed I'll go check it out. I'm not taking a moment longer than I have to so don't worry. We're not doing any more of these extra trips- we can't afford to push our luck. Leave this one to me and once I know what's going on, maybe then we can let you go back."
Shiso was by far the oldest werm in the den, and nobody questioned his authority or commanding presence. Geia knew better than to go against it as the group's newcomer. Not knowing what was at the bottom of the pit was driving him crazy, but maybe, just maybe, he could listen to the older werm and recover for a few days- if only out of hope his next endeavor would be more successful.
Three sleeps passed, and finally, Shiso set off towards the pit without a word to the others. Whatever had caused Geia to pass out, he was determined to find it. Paying Titan only a side eye, he begins his descent.
