Extra: shale stares down at his chest, watching moss start to curl up from the fresh mud that has been placed on his fur. he brushes it away, but the moss stays behind even after he gets the dirt to come off. he starts to head off to the pit's entrance, wishing he'd known in advance to pack his bag lighter, and the only complaint that makes it to his mouth is a mumbled, "... my name is shale. not schmuck."
