MAIN THREAD 🧵 GOO-O-WEEN THREAD

it’s a chilly, but comfortable, autumn night. as you make your way through the goo-o-ween festivities, a large pumpkin shaped tent catches your attention. on both ends of the entrance sit folding signs; their glow in the dark, handwritten text reads, “COSTUME CREATION EVENT ON NOW! COME JOIN THE FUN! :D”

intrigued, you walk in and are greeted by two other goobies. “hello, welcome!!” joyfully exclaimed one. he was dressed seemingly as a vampire, or a bat. ..both, perhaps? you shrug it off. “i’m angel,” he added with a wink. “if you’re here to channel your inner seamstress, you can follow my friend neptune to get started!” the second goob, who was dressed as a butterfly, happily waves with both paws, causing the contents of the plastic cauldron he was holding to spill out a little. “uh oh.. um... sorry about that!! please watch your step!” neptune nervously giggled as he led you to a plethora of fabrics and costume parts.



welcome to the costume corner! <3 in this booth, you will be given a short prompt each day to design a costume inspired by it for your goob*! you’re allowed to be as creative as you’d like \o/ however, all costumes must be cs appropriate :o

*if you don’t have a goob, feel free to use any of mine!
if you make art, please include if i’d be able to upload it to their toyhouse page or not! and if so, please tell me how to credit you ♡

if you’re entering with art, the minimum is a messy, uncolored headshot sketch; if you’re entering with writing, the minimum is 10 words! feel free to do as much as you’re able to, i want this booth to be as stress free as possible >o<

if your entry includes imagery that may make others uncomfortable (insects/arachnids, multiple eyes, fungi, etc), please add a content warning in your post/link images!

entering with at least the minimum will award you with 2 candies! though, my favorite(s) each day will be awarded with 4 candies instead :3

Today was the day: the fashion show was about to begin!

Tugging the brilliant, sky-blue cloak around his shoulders and fixing the matching wizard hat onto his head, Dianxia gazed at his reflection in the mirror with a beaming smile. Life at the castle was luxurious, yes, but often it was far too busy to relax; but such an event was not one to be missed. Joyfully, Dianxia drew back the curtain, stepping out onto the stage. The dazzling spotlights overhead made his outfit glitter, like a cascading waterfall of rainbow sparkles.

costume: Gauntlet lets out a small sigh, feeling a bit ridiculous as she hesitates to step out and reveal her costume. She’s not usually one for celebrations; she found them a waste of time. Still, she wanted to fit in with the other goobies. She felt so… foreign, in this body she had chosen. She might as well dress up a bit, and learn to appreciate the form she now carried. So gauntlet stepped out onto the runway, a honey-sweet smile on her face, although her eyes were sharp as they darted to and fro, observing the goobies watching.
She was dressed as a honey bee, her mane painted with black stripes, and a pair of pearlescent wings adorning her back. She flaunted a pair of springy antenna, and more golden accessories than normal. Gauntlet sprung down the runway, humming. Hm, it actually felt quite good, being ogled at by so many insignificant mortals! She let out a saccharine giggle, and with a flutter of the fake wings she withdrew from the scene, back behind the curtain as she savored the feeling of being the center of attention.

In place of his usual cowboy hat was a purple wizard hat that was adorned with silver stars that sparkled in the light. Around his neck hung a matching cape. The inside made of the same silver material as the stars that shimmered.

He uses the smoke that circles around him, pretending that he is a real wizard casting a spell.

And of course, what is any witch or wizard without their familiar? Both Trix and Bix are dressed with black cat ears on their heads and plush black paws that cover their hooves.

costume: Aedynn is sunshine incarnate on any given day, so this year she's decided to really personify her favorite thing by dressing up as a "positivity princess." She has a princess tiara with paper mache suns as the crown jewels placed neatly atop her head. This has nothing on the glitter-infused and encrusted gown she has on, however. Lace dances around the hems of the dress and embroidered flowers seem to actively bloom as she walks. The dress looks handmade in a sweet way; stitching carefully minded and color-coordinated for every quadrant of the dress that shifts in hue. She almost looks like a rainbow on a cloudy morning just past the sprinkle of rain. And, of course, Aedynn wouldn't be complete without glitter covering every spare spot on her body. It's really hard to understand what she's dressed as at first glance, but just nod and agree with her; she spent a lot of time preparing.

SOL E LUNA

Boa tugs on a string softly, his ears flicking as he glanced consideringly in the mirror. A soft veil of gold spilling down the side of his head bordered with soft tan lace and a dainty yellow daffodil perched on the pin keeping it in place over his ear, a small band of gold on his opposite horn and a gaudy gold and brown leather collar with intricate designs winding up and down the leather in soft golden thread.

He sighs and blinks looking away the matching sock like boots covering his paws with decorative golden claws clicking against the tiles the matching almost see-through veil like drapes acround his wasit connecting to his tail dragging along behind him as he walked past the other goobies in their costumes trying to find his partner, sidestepping a few as they swung around excitedly.

Rocket was standing further away laughing with a few others his eyes closed with bright white painted on markings on his face, blue eyeliner added under his eyes over his usually white eye markings. Boa steps up beside him and blinks down at the smaller space adoring goobie quietly, watching him perk up upon noticing.

"Boa!" Rocket greets happily, the silver ring on the opposite of Boa's golden one and silver bracers around his front legs. Boa humms in greeting dipping his head to brush his nose over Rockets head, his tail waves softly.

Rocket has on a greyscaled draping cloak, connecting from his collar down to the floor and over his back. Silver boot-like stockings on his back legs with silver detailing and a dark black collar with a bright silver cresent moon on the front of it with a small silver decorating crown on his head.

goob involved: Caillou
costume: Caillou was so excited to see his best friend, Neptune, at the Goo-o-ween booth this year! Such a cool booth, but I'm so terribly uncreative Caillou thought with a sigh of early defeat. He looked around as many goobies got to work, making amazing costumes based on the prompt "magic". It filled him with determination, allowing him to grit his teeth and get to work. Caillou refused to be a simpleton and dress up as a magician or wizard though- he wanted to really challenge his creative side! Caillou thought hard for a moment, and randomly remembered the first interaction he had with Neptune. Rabbit! Rabbits are a magician's best friend. I'm going to be a rabbit! I wonder if Neptune will remember... Caillou thought to himself as he got to work.
Although he might have been at that costume station for over an hour, Caillou finally got his costume done. He placed his fluffy pipe-cleaner ears on, secured his cotton ball tail to the base of his own, and added a few final touches like buck teeth and whiskers. Lastly, Caillou carefully adorned himself with a black and red top hat to signify the classic hat rabbits appear out of. Caillou had a goofy smile on his face as he hopped around, really getting into his rabbit character.
