To those working on collecting an entire species, what was the justification for chosing that species?

Im slowly working on spiders because I was gifted quite a few of them, and I'd love to keep that momentum going! Actually one of the very first pets I got on the site was a spider

Thanks! <3 I'm going for mostly TD, if I can manage it. But I know there's a lot of TD pets out there that I'll never be able to get. I already kind of lost hope of ever swapping my July PPS. But that's okay! I'll just do what I can.

Started to collect 2011 pets, because... why not? XD I managed to get my very last ultimate dreamie (The UR Lion) so I figured I wanted to complete 2011. That way the archive can say 2011 is complete!

Due to how difficult it is to complete a collection, I simply settled to finish 2011 and certain sets/themes. My super small wishlist went to 12 pages when I added all missing pets from 2011 lol

Made a group to put all of 2011 pets, still going through my collection to add to the group!

Hey, it's been awhile since I last posted on this thread. My big cats collection is going remarkably well. I am at 188/245 big cats! This means lions/lionesses, tigers, snow leopards. I am currently waiting for 2 trades to see if they get accepted/declined for 3 very rare lions. 2 from 2010 and 1 from 2009, wish me luck on those trades!

Additionally, since I'm getting closer to completing my big cat collection goal, I'm considering the next species to collect. Out of the following species below, which one would be the easiest to accomplish?

1. Rats
2 Deers
3. Hamsters
4. Guinea pigs

Of those, I'd say the hamsters, either species. There are no store hamsters, no UR hamsters or otherwise super rare, in demand hamsters.
Guinea pigs would also be easy if you only go for the new lineart, becuase of the same reasons stated above. But there is also an old lineart of guinea pigs and if you include those guys, you increase the challenge significantly.

Deer would be semi easy. Nothing crazy rare as far as I remember but there are a handful of store deer sets. (If you include stores in a complete collection)

Rats would be very hard to accomplish, but not impossible due to their low demand. It's one of the original linearts so there are A LOT of very hard to get rats out there. But people hand them out like Halloween candy so it's very much doable.

Im down to 50 pages left but I feel like ive hit a block :c Trades have been so slow I thought with this many pets still needed they would be steady!

I have a small, but hopefully somewhat interesting update! I collect pets that are either explicitly based on or remind me of stuff around the site! I just completed this litter from cs birthday 2016 and I'm really happy about it! Next goal is the rarity dogs. I've been thinking about getting some extra to fill in for the new rarities.. but I haven't decided yet



Related, I almost have all the 2010 Woof Cup items. I'm a fan of flags and the site, so this has been a real slam dunk for me! I try to put the corresponding items on fitting pets. The Sunny Scorers items go on my 2015 CS birthday Elderly Sunback



I like to think she was the champion player on the team, but has since retired

I need to think of more pets to put the cs items on... more dogs especially since so many items are made exclusively for them.. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

ooh, I'm super excited to have stumbled upon this thread!

Way back in 2012 I had a complete collection -- and now several years later I've returned to try and reclaim that status, lol!

I'm only (lol) missing 199 pets! They're all either UR or Store pets, so it'll be a slow process, but worth it!
