[Implemented] An option to disable messages "from your pet"

I believe there is a way to kind of do this already!

My account > Private Messages > Rules, folders, & settings
Then add a new rule!
If: Sender > is > Pound > delete message

I'm not sure if this works, but I don't see why it wouldn't!

turns out this workaround for the stress-inducing, guilt trip messages has been "fixed". the messages come from your own account now. how great a way to respond to this suggestion thread....... >>

Just popping in to say that this is the rule I use to filter out the messages. As far as I'm aware, the message has always come from your account and not from the Pounds account

If: Subject > begins with > A message from your pet | Delete message

thank you kindly frogfan. looking back they're labeled as from myself but I would have SWORN, legit would've put money down that they used to be from the pound account asdfhjkl

still incredibly peeved we need to learn workarounds for defunct aspects of the site instead of just. turning them off. still. after like ten years. x-x

I think it’s because they don’t actually have the ability to implement it since Nick and Tess are gone all the time

Then it sounds like maybe they should hand this over to people who care enough about the game to not ignore incredibly easy to implement suggestions for a decade? Heck, the rarity update was not at all what people asked for to address the massive value issues either, so even when they do make changes after users start leaving the site, they still ignore the suggestions people are making.

I feel so tempted all the time to report the messages but I don’t wanna flood general admins with something they can’t do anything about… but the temptation is there to make a point, lol

Huge support, I had to manually make the pound messages delete automatically so it doesn’t just take up space in my messages folder. It’s very frustrating


This is also such a silly reason for the message

pound pets ARE tradeable and you don't get punished for trading them out, but it is 'frowned upon' hence the sad message that comes up when you try and trade one

it's sort of against pound rules to trade them, but we still leave it up to the owner to trade incase they have a genuine reason to, like if they dont play much anymore
