This doesn't really feel fair to those of us who prefer to put in $20 in real money every two months to buy a couple sets of the store pets.. this inflation is hitting the "lower classes" of CS harder than it will those who have extremely rare pets/items to trade for an abundance of CS$ or who ALREADY have thousands of CS$.. I myself love being able to buy a few sets of store pets every 2 months off of $20. At $100 for 4 pets, and likely $120-140 (price has yet to be seen) for 5 pets, its unreasonable! I, along with many others who haven't chimed in on this post, will not be able to keep up :(

As I said in the comment above..this doesn't feel fair to the "lower classes" of Chicken Smoothie :(

Nothing they could implement would make everything completely fair and make everyone happy. There are ways to get C$ outside of buying it, I personally get a good chunk of my C$ from selling off extra tokens and pets during events, and I also run an art shop that I take C$ payments for. No matter what they decide to do, someone's going to have the short end of the stick, and when it comes to inflation, that's sadly going to be people like us who don't have thousands of chicken dollars lining our pockets. Things will stabilize as time goes on, I'm sure. It's a fairly new problem, and one they're only just now starting to address.

I also make CS$ at the end of ever event by selling my leftover tokens/pets, but its never enough to be able to buy multiple sets of store pets so that you have extra for trading. Even if you set a timer for every 20 minutes so that you can get another token as soon as you can, it's not enough. I have done this myself and had many sleepless nights over it bc I was trying to get every pet or gather enough tokens to make some extra cash so I could get that extra set of pets! I might be posting another unpopular opinion but I would rather the people who are already trading "digital currency" to get "the short end of the stick" than those of us paying with REAL MONEY.

I know it's unfortunate, I'm not a fan of it either, but we have to think about this from a site-wide perspective; how would they even go about benefiting the "lower class" while also combatting the inflation problem? Increasing the amount of C$ you get when buying it would make the problem worse. They're trying to get C$ out of the economy, not put more in. Like I said, it's a new problem and it's a tricky one to tackle, we're just going to have to sit tight and wait to see what happens.

I didn't notice the price went up until someone mentioned it. I did however notice that the bundle now has 4 pets instead of 5.
I'm glad the price of the bundle didn't go up. I'm someone who has/will never buy C$, so I trade for all that I have/will ever have. It's already hard enough for me to get 100 in 2 months (I got the last store pets within a few hours of role over), and it's going to get even harder with the prices going up.

I do agree that something has to be done about inflation. There's people on site that I've seen with 5-6 digits of C$. It also doesn't make sense the people I've seen say, "quitting! Everything for C$!" (Like, why do you need it if you're leaving?) (second part of that rant is besides the point)

i understand the disdain, but my main recommendation would be to possibly sell your tokens as soon as the event begins? that's what i do, anyways. the demand for tokens is especially high mostly the first and second days of any event, so what i do is collect them and sell them as soon as i can. some users are willing to offer upwards to 4 or 5 c$ per token, and with many tokens tossed together it's pretty nice. you'll be late to the pet game, but it's better to bend demand to your will instead of waiting for the end of the event. once trade-ins are closer to closing, everyone is drowning in tokens, so ofc their price goes down.

hope that helped at least a little bit! i also get c$ from selling adopts or doing commissions.

Absolutely agreed. Why should the majority get the short end of the stick so those in the minority can... get more value out of the massive amounts of resources they already have?

I would also like to point out that you now need to spend 10USD to get a full set of store pets. This is a website with a child demographic, and changing the goal to get a full set of store pets from 5USD to 10USD feels really unfair to kids, where even 3USD can feel like a lot of money (that's two whole toys at the dollar store!). Children also don't really have the option of opening art shops and it's extremely hard to get c$ without overpaying for it by trading. Kids are also less likely to grasp the value of c$ and therefore will have a much harder time trading for it.

I got my first store pet set way back when by scrounging up 60c$ through trading (which I recently went through my old trades and I super overpaid for the c$) and I just barely made enough. I can imagine that it would be pretty much impossible for me to do the same now, having to get 167% more c$ for the same amount of pets.

I think a lot that do quitting for C$ want to spend it on art from what I've observed since they can leave with it.

5-6 digits is 0-0 yikes
