CS OMGSR Pet Popularity Poll [RESULTS POSTED!]

Regarding the bunnies, they all landed low or middle of the road for me. It's not necessarily that I dislike the bunny lines, I actually think they're super cute. But the fact that most of the OMGSR bunnies are just recolors of other pets onto the bunny lines is what makes me less interested in them. They're cute, but I don't like the recolors enough to seek out a pet that's just a bunny version of another pet. My only exception was the pink balloon bunny and that's because it's a bunny version of one of my dreamies, but even then I still prefer the original. The originals rank higher for me not because the of the lineart, but just because they are the originals. That's why the bunnies ranked so middle of the road for me anyways. I'm curious to hear others perspectives since most people also seem to have put them as pretty middle of the road!

especially since I can't afford many of the pets the bunnies are based of, I feel sorta weird getting the bunny version? Like I've just got a lesser version of a pet I'll never be able to get? lol.

I love rats, and I wonder if it’s a matter of line art versus subject matter as for why people almost unanimously hate them ?

I can’t say it’s unsurprising how they were ranked, because cs users have always disliked them. I just had suspected that perhaps the rarity change would have helped somewhat but I guess it didn’t really change the demand ?

I agree with both of you!!! Bunnies are my favorite animal, and seeing so many recolors is disappointing, especially for older ones (the more valuable ones). Although some of the bunnies that are supposed to copy other pets actually can be more original from their counterparts!!! For example:

Personally I hate hate hate rats because the rats on CS look like they would be the size of a dog IRL and that just absolutely freaks me out to think about. I like tiny mouse looking rats though! Like these which I collect:

I'm on team "prefers the bunny version to the OG" a lot of the time, actually. Like, I prefer the bunny lineart to most bwolves, so the UR butterbun is my preference there since it doesn't lose anything from the design in the translation. I'm neutral on dog lineart so the bunny version almost always wins out for me (especially Spotted Tribal, I hate the tribal dogs but the bun feels much cleaner), Joker bun suffers from losing the staff though.

i love the bunnies! i think it's a fun detail that a lot of them copy other designs, but which i prefer (bunny vs original) really depends on the individual design. definitely rated most of the buns quite high :)

This was very fun to do and I'm definitely interested in how the results all work out in the end! Not a lot of 10s for me as I'm a bit picky about which designs are my absolute favorites. Mine are: UR Zonkey, UR Kirin, Skeleton Rat, CEG, BEG, Joker dog, and Red Malk dragon.

Now this has got me curious about the demand/popularity of OMGSRs compared to some of the Extremely Rare or Very Rare pets (store pets not included). I realized while completing this poll that I'm not actually all that interested in obtaining that many OMGSRs. Of course, I'd be overjoyed to pull many of them on Dec. 18th, but would I actively ever try to trade up to them?

When I was answering, I mostly went with:

1 - actively do not enjoy looking at this pet
2 and 3 - dislike or would be eager to trade away
4 - neutral but less interested
5 - so neutral i have no opinion
6 - neutral but fairly positive
7 and 8 - like a lot, would be very happy to have but may or may not trade for
9 - want to own but not a goal pet
10 - LOVE and hope to have in collection. would throw a lot of other valued pets into a trade to obtain this pet.

I think I only marked three or four pets a 10.

For me, absolutely yes, it's the lineart. I love many of the PPS rats.
I find the 'smooth' rats to be kind of... gross to look at? I feel bad saying that, but it must have to do with how round they are and how hairless I actually have no issue with some of the "fluffier" rats and quite like them.

Totally different reaction between the two.
Note that they both have tail line edits, but the upper one is way more appealing to me. The differently shaped ears, rounder nose, and larger eyes all help.
