CS OMGSR Pet Popularity Poll [RESULTS POSTED!]

This is so interesting! I love seeing the poll results so far based on what I thought more people liked/disliked vs the reality. I can’t wait to see more responses, this is really a fantastic idea!

I guess maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but I wasn’t expecting so many 1/10 responses for the rats! I know they’re less popular than other species, but I think there are some really cute ones! I wonder if it’s just people really dislike them so much, or if it’s partly because people have had it drilled into their heads that rats are bad and have low demand.

Same with the grinners! There are some colors I like more than others, but I never understood all the hate.

I think the pets responses that I found most interesting were the ones where votes were spread pretty evenly all across the board.

I definitely had to rethink some of my rat responses, I really took my time on them because some really are cute! I dislike most but some, like the jack-o-lantern rat, I really do like!

Honestly for me so far I'm most surprised about the Zebras! They are too realistic for my liking personally, and I've never known them as being particularly well-liked or in demand so I thought they would poll similarly to rats, but definitely not so far!!

I tend to have unpopular opinions for demand so seeing how my thoughts line up to the poll results was interesting.
(But I mean when youre going for a complete collection youll have to aim to get them all lol even the ones you think are ugly :O)

This is beyond interesting to see. The results are wild to me for some pets! I’m not *too* surprised about the rats being rated so low, mainly because I am in the same boat… I absolutely love rats as an animal, but on CS they just aren’t the most fun to own. ;w; their lineart lacks something imo, like their pose or something is not as interesting to me for some reason? That coupled with the lack of ways to easily dress them up, as well as them being smaller scale pets/less easy to see is probably my reasons for not loving them very much. Bunnies are the same for me.
Will say, I was shocked to see a lot of positive results for the zebras since they are trashed by the trading community. I personally don’t love them, though they are beautifully done, they just don’t stand out to me much.

I want to see people's weird opinions!

1) I can't believe the Galaxy PPS is lower than the zonkey and joker which both seemed so solidly, unanimously popular. Like, it's still up there as one of the most loved but wasn't quite the top. It's by far my favorite OMGSR.
2) I love the dogtag / nontag line WAY more than the jewel and moonswirl lines! I was so surprised to see people rank the dogtag lower!
3) The UR Kirin was surprisingly high? Even though I don't see that many people trading for it I feel like. That's one of my least favorites personally.
4) It looks like the Wolf PPS is one of the top OMGSR PPS-s; I think it's so plain, nothing flashy, haha. I like the boar and even the dice PPS + buckskin better.

So so wild. I want to hear what surprised everyone^ I agree about the zebras!

So I was a bit confused by the poll options. At first I rated the pets on how much I liked the design and look of the pets. I went back because that is not how I would rate it based on what I would personally keep in my own collection. So for me, personally, I voted 1 for the pets I wouldn't keep in my collection unless I had every other pet and needed them to complete the collection. 2-4 are pets I would be willing to trade if I have only 1 of them to get other pets I like more (even if I have multiple of the pet I am trading for). 5 are the pets that i wouldnt mind keeping but are available to trade for other pets. 6-7 are pets that I would like to keep but for the right pet that I don't have or over pay, I would be willing to trade. 8-9 are pets in my personal collection and would be very hard pressed to trade unless it was a pet I desperately wanted AND it was over pay. 10 are for the pets that I just would not trade out of my collection, unless massive overpay and even then I'm not 100% sure I would trade.

I found this way might be more accurate then just on how I thought a pet looked because even tho I liked some of the designs more, I just wouldn't keep them in my collection as much as others.
