"We're small still, but go ahead and take Silversplash and Opalwave around the territory while you hunt," she meowed. "Finchleaf will probably head out to get herbs," she meowed, glancing at the medicine cat, who nodded. "I'll stay behind and keep an eye on Blossompatch and Goldkit," she meowed, watching the five-moon-old kit playing in the clearing.

Blossompatch sat watching Goldkit, already having adopted her before coming to BeamClan. her tail flicked as she rested on her side, watching the rest of her group leave. Seeing Hazelstar walk over, she nodded respectfully. "I'm glad she'll be an apprentice in a moon," she murmured, chuckling as Goldkit ran over to play with Hazelstar's tail. "I can see that she's energetic," the BeamClan leader chuckled, moving her tail side to side. "Hey Goldkit," Hazelstar meoewd. "Why don't I tell you how I found this area?" she asked the kit. Goldkit nodded, "Yes please," she meowed, settling down to to the older she-cats as Hazelstar told the story about founding BeamClan, and how she cam to find the place.

─ lightningspiral, sleeping just outside the camp in order to more efficiently avoid their
new clanmates, is rudely startled awake via loud paw steps CHARGING straight for them.

─ he jumps to his paws, expecting the worse, only to be met with the annoyingly cheery face of
thunderchaser followed shortly by the slightly-less annoying peachsiren.

─ thunderchaser tries her best to convince him to join them on a patrol but he harshly brushes
her off, quickly setting off on his own independent patrol to get away from the now crestfallen
leader.

─ lightningspiral's patrol begins relatively normal but as he nears the twoleg settlement he
catches the unmistakable, sickly, tang of blood in the air. they cautiously investigates the
area, quickly locating the source of the smell; numerous, small patches of nearly dried blood
leading from a twoleg fence straight into the sun spire's territory.

─ they mull over what to do about this new, startling discovery, eventually deciding that this is
too important not to inform the others about. they swiftly traverse the territory, desperately
trying to catch the scent trail of their clanmates. after what feels like an egregiously long
amount of walking, the feline FINALLY picks up a scent trail.

─ he follows after it, only slowing when he catches that same sickly blood smell mingling with
the trail. terrified that whatever left the bloody patches back at the twoleg fence had caught
up with them, he charges forward. it doesn't take him long to spot not only his clanmates, but
the back of a unfamiliar back of black feline which he promptly collides directly with. he readies
himself for a fight but instead of the sharp sting of claws he expected, he is instead pulled into
a tight embrace.

─ lightningspiral is OBVIOUSLY incredibly confused by this and harshly berates the feline with
questions, only to receive an answer from a all too familiar voice. the usually stoic feline can
hardly hold back their tears as they swiftly return their sister's embrace. the two remain
together for a long moment before they finally draws away, lightning gently questioning where
she had been.

─ thunderchaser, who had been apparently too shocked to interject before hand, loudly
announces that they found her just aimlessly wandering the plains in circles. peachsiren gently
adds that she had just finished explaining her situation to them mere moments before.

─ as if on cue, thundertrail begins rambling on about her escapades leading up to this moment:
she speaks of wandering from place to place after losing track of him and the others in their
group, of successfully finding shelter within the nearby twoleg place only to be chased out by a
violent group of street cats (during the last part she makes an effort to point out the leaf
over her right eye, explaining that its covering her new wickedly awesome, gnarly scar, by the
way... shes so cool guys) into the sun spire's plains.

─ the two siblings continue exchanging questions before a weary peachsiren points out the sun
beginning to set; the group, despite lightningspiral's protests, begin the trek home. as they near
the camp, the still ever-cautious lightningspiral hesitantly slows. he debates returning to his nest
outside the camp but wills himself to continue forward after spotting thundertrail plop down into
a nest right next to the others. he gingerly curls into the nearest available nest, his worries soon
quieted by the steady rhyme of the others' heartbeats; he is peacefully lulled into the most
restful sleep he's had in moon.

CURRENT SEASON

LEAF-FALL | Now that summer has come to an end, your clan may notice the chill in the air and the leaves underfoot. The treetops are red, yellow, and gold, one last beautiful display before winter strips them of their leaves. The risk of heatstroke or dehydration decreases with the temperature, but there are other dangers lurking just around the corner. Hungry predators become more active as any available prey dwindles. Chances of complication during kitting will also increase.

↳ Pirate's patrol passes uneventfully. It's hard to say if that was because there was simply nothing to be found, or because the patrol's gossiping about Phoenix was too distracting. But then again, hardly any of them have seen hide or hair of little Pyre...

He suffers through the rest of the patrol as the butt of several jokes. He will need x1 nettle to prevent infection and a nice, long walk to soothe a bruised ego.

As he feels his paws miss the target, hears the horrified gasps of the QuickClan warriors below him, Spidershadow does not scream. Spidershadow closes his eyes, breathes a quick prayer, and allows himself to fall.

as summer gives way to colder weather, your clans can expect to see a decrease in prey and an increase
in danger. predators may become more desperate during this time. while the likelihood of dehydration
goes down, cats who aren't careful on patrols might face more serious risks. inside the camp, medicine
cats will find less herbs and kittings will become more difficult. cats who go out on too many patrols
will also face possible illnesses, as well.

• newttongue's patrol started quietly as the squidclan cats set a brisk pace. however, as the morning wore on and they grew hungry, phoenixflight suggested that they split up to find a quick meal and gather their strength before heading home. after a moment's hesitation, wondering if it might just be better to return to camp, newttongue's stomach grumbled and the patrol leader assented. newttongue split the patrol into pairs and they set off. soon after, the patrol began to return to their meeting spot to eat and share any prey they found, but newttongue began to grow worried when viperjaw and juniperthroat failed to meet up with their clanmates. by the time the sun had reached its peak, the rest of the patrol was worried and decided to track the missing fighters. impgrin set herself to the task, leading her clanmates in the direction that viperjaw and juniperthroat's scent led, but the group's anxiety spiked when the scent of twolegs and monsters washed over them. they pressed forward, but newttongue felt a heavy weight in her stomach by the time they found where the twoleg scent completely overpowered that of the missing squidclan cats. nearby, monsters rumbled to life, leaving the cats in the dust, but not before cedarspeckle spotted a pair of familiar faces peeking out of the monster's stomach. unfortunately, the cats weren't fast enough to catch up with the monster, and they had no choice but to give up the chase, knowing that viperjaw and juniperthroat had been taken away, likely forever...
• bullstrike's patrol passed uneventfully.

herb hunting results
• basatan found x1 parsley, x1 cobweb, and x1 elder leaves.

training results
• oakpaw passed and learned swimming. however, after a long day of practicing, oakpaw began to complain that her muscles were aching. when the discomfort hadn't passed by the next morning, basatan decided that it would be best to let oakpaw rest and recover, stating that oakpaw should take x1 moon of rest.
• strawberrypaw failed to learn climbing. after taking several attempts to hoist himself up into a tree, strawberrypaw began to climb higher as his confidence grew. however, he didn't make it too far up before he stumbled upon a bird, which had been hiding from the clan cats in a small hollow. before strawberrypaw could react, the bird squawked and launched in his direction, trying to escape. the bird's talon scraped strawberrypaw's shoulder, and he lost his balance. thankfully it was only a small fall, leaving him with light bruising, but he bore several deep scratches from the bird's talons, which will need to be treated with x1 cobweb, x1 blackberry leaves, x1 marigold, and x3 moons of rest.

LEAF-FALL || The temperature has begun to drop, and the days grow shorter and shorter. With the disappearance of the unbearable heat, predators are more commonly slinking along the outskirts of the territory. Alongside the growing dangers that come with the cold weather, kittings are beginning to get harder. Clans should stock up on prey and herbs for the coming dangerous moons, as this will be their last chance until after the next season has passed.
