I am super excited to see a good quality photo version of the old site layout! its so weird seeing the old font used too, it does look different from the current font

I definitely remember the lineart change for the horses and fennecs. I had to go though and fix lots of dress-ups on horses that were out of place on the new lineart. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of my old horses/ponies still have saddles and harnesses and things just kind of floating near them for this reason even now. I don’t remember the old Malk lineart at all - this is the first I’m seeing those Malk wolf linearts for sure! - but that’s probably just because I didn’t have any malks that early on lol

I also definitely remember the power outage! I was at a sleepover and was annoyed I couldn’t browse CS but super interested in what was going on and what was gonna happen/how it would be fixed.

The rarity update! Was that really only just in 2019?! Did they have another one around ~2012 or am I thinking of when they first added the colored bars to indicate rarity? That definitely helped me out a ton back in the day lol I remember having to double and triple check to make sure the pet I clicked said ‘uncommon’ not ‘common’ and vice versa.

I think they did have one around 2012, because, to my knowledge, we only had very common, common, uncommon, rare, very rare as rarities. I believe around 2011-2012 they added OMGSC and OMGSR? Maybe I'm just having a Mandela Effect moment, but I'm pretty sure those were added. lol.

As part of this update, we've added a new rarity level "OMG so common". And we've added little rarity bars underneath the pets while trading to make it easier to spot which pets are rare and which aren't :). As a comparison, here's the number of pets of each rarity with the old broken rarity system and with our new system:
