Staff Litter 2023 Discussion Thread

Wanted to confirm this is indeed my dog this year! c:
This is Bee, she flutters around and loves to enjoy all the sweeter things in life. My inspiration this year was from how I've recently entered my clinical year where working hard and being on top of things on a daily basis is critical for the health of your patients. I think Bee is a good reminder to work hard but also to enjoy the little things that happen along the way!

I see a lot of you got stuck on the no line edits hint; to me a line edit is editing the original lines. I don't really count the wings as lines since it was just a glow effect and not really part of the body being edited/altered, but I can see how that might have stumped people! So apologies for that, I didn't realize it would cause so much chaos ;o;

She's very pretty! I personally percieve lineart edits as anything that modifies the "outline" of the dog (aside from glowy particle effects like stars). Like, if you were to outline your dog in black marker, those wings would be included so I consider that a line edit (same for the antenna). Regardless of that, I like Bee a lot and I love her deeper meaning.

Oh wow!! Ok i would have NEVER in a million years guessed that xD!!! I follow the lineart clues very seriously, they're my base haha. But that's absolutely adorable!!!

Wow I was just trying to narrow it down more with the pups for Zeena and took away all with edits. I may have been there for a while if I didn't just see the archive update XD line edits I really thought were considered just anything changed outside of the basic lines.

I'm trying to narrow down Raire's. Pup stages have always been simple, so i'm excluding any with line edits and I'm hoping the light nose hint will also reflect in the pup stage. With all that, i think Raire's must be one of these:



now now, I know raire said hers didn't have anything water themed BUT hear me out! we have no idea what that fish means or what it turns into and c'mon "loves schools"? That's fishy to me. The problem is....... those are also my top guesses for aaron! x'D
If I had to absolutely pick, i'd say Raire's the yellow one while Aaron's the round cheek one.

I’m going to guess this pup for Koikee because, why not? We’ve guessed just about every pup so might as well guess one more. Eventually we’ll get the right pup



I know koikee likes to use the shorter tags, but he has used the longer ones a few times. Case in point - 2021 Cave Event



He likes to color in the tags, and is not afraid of line edits. Since this staff will be his most edited dog, the question mark can indicate ‘what will become of this pup’. The storm cloud could become a major lightning storm or something to add to the whole ‘extremely edited’ dog. Of course, only time will tell .

* At night, lightning will illuminate the skies
* Storms of any kind do not need wings, and are in the sky
* Could be silly
* Storms can happen any time of the year so no reason for a season
* Perhaps storms interest koikee, and the eyes are visible
* Storms show up everywhere and at any time, even in space
* Does not use all the palette colors

So that is my reasoning for guessing this pup.

YES!! I think this as well!! It all makes sense to me! I was gonna post that after tonights reveal xD! I'm glad someone else is on the same page as me with it tho haha!
Now we wait to see what Koikee says... *eyes*

We are at a loss with Koikee's pup and this pup shares hardly any characteristics with his prior pups but why the heck not. I think this is Koikee's pup based on the following:
- Cheek circle is similar to their profile (literally just noticed that)
- Colored ear tip similar to their profile...? (just noticed that too...)
- Blocks of color are similar to last year's pup
- The green on this pup is prominent, which Koikee said they thought looked nice on their pup
- This pup's toes are kinda pink but also not pink????????? Maybeeeee???

Unfortunately this pup has no line edits or no tag edits and nothing to link it to the "lore" that Koikee has described to us. I figured I might as well give it a shot, though.

I swear you people are reading my mind. I just thought that thing as well, was actually just making up a post about it haha!!!
I'll add another reasoning it could be this pup... the swooping pattern on the body is quite similar to a LOT of their other designs, horses and dogs mostly.
