Destiny nodded as the pup thanked her for being honest. she knew a lot of adult wolves hid hard to handle facts from pups - her parents absolutely did and it just caused Destiny to make trouble to find her own answers. She had vowed to be different, starting with being as up front as she could be to all of her pack. "I know how you feel, my mother used to tell me only the good so I would find the answers on my own" she spoke looking down at Kiyu. Destiny could see a lot of herself in the young wolf. She was curious, not only about the things going on but also the why behind it. And Destiny would make it a point in the future to always explain to the pup what was going on. If it could potentially rule out one troublemaker.
Destiny had her fair share of making trouble when she was Kiyu's age, and even into her early adulthood. She wanted answers and she was so curious -- too curious. She pricked her ears hearing the pup indeed getting into trouble "Why did you get into trouble?" she asked curiously. Not having pups of her own, Destiny of course didn't know what scolding them was like, but if there was anything she could do to make it easier on the pack mother's she would.

the buzz of the pack speaking about the passing of Kikui & the outburst of Dante and Cypher left Sora’s heart in almost a panic. What in the world was happening to the pack today? She let out a small whine as she looked around the camp. Her heart breaking for those grieving. Sora looked around to see what any next steps would be - although the pack was always on top of everything so she was sure things were being handled properly. Her eyes scanned the camp and landed on Destiny. The tan speckled Alphaess was already talking to one of the pups. Besides - she probably didn’t need Sora to bother her further. Shaking her head, Sora’s amber eyes scanned the camp once more. Landing on another one of the fighters - Hutten. Wagging her large tail softly she padded over, lifting her head as she approached “good evening Hutten. How are you today?”

Blaze watched the pup’s demeanor change once hearing his growl in response. He hadn’t wanted to scare the pup, and thankfully it didn’t seem like he did because now the pup- Niko was talking. He flicked his tail heairng Gauge want to speak still and nodded “tomorrow seems to work better for both of us “ he commented with her mentioning it was late.

Blaze wouldn’t lie - he had a soft soft spot for pups. Especially ones who didn’t have their parents as he didn’t as well. Blaze nodded as soon as the words left Niko’s mouth Blaze looked at him once again. He remembered his heart breaking when he woke up alone. He knew the pain that Niko was in. “Look Niko. I need to go speak with Liberty, the Alpha regardless. You’re going to stick with me for a while okay?” He commented crouching down for a moment to get on eye level with Niko. He dropped his voice for Niko to hear. “I’ve got your back now kid. Just sick by me and we’ll get you taken care of” he whispered before rising to his paws and shaking off his pelt.
He looked around the clearing, noticing Nova walk into Liberty’s den. perfect timing he thought before nodding in that direction.

“Gauge will you please grab something for Niko to eat? I am going to take him to speak with the Alpha and Beta quickly” he asked before turning towards the den of Liberty and flicking his tail for Niko to follow. He got a few paces and looked back, offering a head nod for him to join.

When Blaze approached the den, he took a deep breath. Today had not gone his way at all and he prayed to the moon that something would be good. He cleared his throat. “Liberty, Nova? So sorry to disrupt. If I could speak with you both quickly — I found something er — it found me” he commented before oddly for him. Leaning down to give Niko an encouraging nudge to the shoulder.

River glanced at Milo and Akiro as they spoke, watching Akiro’s body language she tilted her head a bit. He seemed a little more awkward than usual. Perhaps from meeting someone new .. or ? She wondered. Shaking her head she realized both boys were waiting on her answer. “ooo yes the border seems fun to head over too. I know a few patrols went out today already. We would just need to check with one of the leads to see if we could head out since it’s getting darker” she commented.
River didn’t want to seem like a crazy rule follower, but she had already paid one consequence from just leaving the pack to explore and didn’t ever want it happening again. It was better for at least someone staying behind to know where they were.
“I’m not trying to be a fun killer or anything I promise. Because I genuinely think that would be so much fun and I want you to see the entire pack land Milo” she sighed and lowered her head a bit. [i] Even with our success in the hunt - I know today was a tense day for the Alpha and Beta so I’d rather us not get into trouble. ” she added. Before thinking or killed.
It was true; the evening had fallen and soon every wolf would be finding their spots in the dens.

Regret is defined as feeling sad or disappointed over something that has happened to an individual’s person or repentant over something that has happened to another individual that may or may not have been caused by an individual acting out. Regret for his actions against the healer was not something Liberty felt in his mind the brute was justified Alexandria’s actions towards the pup she elicited for information was treasonous to say the least and if that same information were to be shared with any other Wolf they would come to the same conclusion that prompted Liberty’s response and possibly go further to start an uprising that could remove Liberty from his position as Alpha which would derail Liberty’s plan for total control over all neighboring lands and he simply couldn't let that happen. It was his destiny to own everything the sun touched or everything the snow covered should anyone contest it he would kill and that included if the neighboring packs Alpha either disagreed or had too many unfit modifications to Liberty’s initial plan.

Attacking Alex immediately to ensure she would keep hold of the information she received was poorly thought out as his Beta and two other pack members had just been nearby during the incident he knew if the brute slipped up once or didn't play his cards right all paws would justifiably point towards him as the offender but as quickly as his worries came to mind so did a plan to avoid detection for now. There was a new Wolf one who's name implied they were a coward but Liberty was a wolf that was just like him and could see the darkness in this coward's heart just as he could see the undertones intention of the brute. That was it that's the plan avoid confrontation for now by forsaking the blame into another who unknowingly would have Liberty on him to when the time comes for now his only concern was Eros until the others came asking what had happened to the healer in the brief blip that was all this disorganized drama.


All of this thought came to him as he scurried away from the scene leaving the mess for his pack mates to discover. When he entered the safe darkness of his own personal den he settled in with his son setting the boy down so that he could embrace him in a fashion similar to Alex before Liberty interrupted them. ”What did Alex say of your injuries before I retrieved you?” Liberty asked softly to the boy who nuzzled his chest. Eros was busy cuddling his head in the furry mane of Liberty after he was delicately set down and cuddled when he was done he innocently responded to his father unaware of the gravities of the situation before hand,”Alex said all I did was bruise it a bit when my leg hit the branch and that I should probably avoid running for a week..”, grief over the fact that the boy couldn’t behave wildly like he normally would was shared by Liberty when he gave Eros a loving nudge, ”Oh my whatever will you do now that you can’t terrorize squirrels and other small critters?” Eros was quick to a response and whipped his head around with an adorable smile, Liberty had successfully baited comfort out of the child so he would feel safe and speak freely, ”Well! Since you asked! I could just….terrorize you and Nova! All day until your sick in the stomach at the sight of me!” he announced joyfully and had his foot not been injured he would have pounced and wrestled with Liberty until he was exhausted. Eros quite enjoyed when Liberty would spend this time together in the Alphas den it was personal also the pup believed that his Father had no mask on here either so Liberty was definitely himself and not the leader figure every one else saw. A half smile formed on the face of Liberty then he playfully rolled his eyes, ”Oh dear I can already feel the amount of joy that will bring us both..my stomach it’s twisting already…”, Liberty’s face became relaxed and his eyes narrowed peacefully as he watched the little ebony pup that cuddled into his chest, nothing matter now not even the scheming to allude himself of any blame that would come his way.


”What!?! Already? You can’t be sick of me yet…you haven’t even told me about how you became lead Fighter..” Eros said with much despair it was no fair father was playing with him like this while Eros couldn’t give him a clout on the ear or a nibble on his neck because of his injuries. But, the thought of story telling prompted a look to Eros followed by some words that carried a warning that was not to harsh considering the wolf giving the caution, ”Ahhh yes I could finish that but we must talk about the story you were telling Alexandria in the healers den…What have I told you about that?” his tones were more fatherly now while he attempted to cover his own rump again by making the child suppress the urge to speak freely with loose lips. In response to his father Eros bit the inside of his lip knowing it was only a matter of time before Liberty would address this with him, ”You’ve said that the telling of those events proves the transition of leadership did not happen the Old way and that should some one learn of it they could challenge your Authority..” Eros said quietly in nearly a whisper that even Liberty had to concentrate for a moment. ”….And we don’t want that now do we? Because you know what will happen?” Liberty said with a lifted brow that to the boy was like have a bajillion pounds placed on his tiny shoulder because he did know what would happen he was under the assumption he would be chased off with Liberty and forced to live in exile for treason and planning to usurp leadership so Eros simply nodded his head to state he knew very well the lie Liberty told him and he believed it to be truth.

”Good. Now…where was I last when I was telling you the story..?” the tones of his voice disregarded his previous statements lightly to change topics to something the boy would much rather hear. The smile came back Eros’s face then he looked up, ”You were last telling me about your battle with Henry for the apprentice position..” Liberty playfully rolled his eyes because he knew exactly where he’d left off last time and it was funny to hear the boy want to skip ahead to just the battle for position it was typical. But Liberty’s stories had underlying messages that were for the boy it was life lessons he needed. Even if some of Liberty’s retelling of these stories is inflated a bit he’s always trying to instill proper morals, values, & hopefully what it is to be a leader and not the one his father is. Liberty sees his faults and shortcomings as the Alpha he’s a lead fighter built for other things but at the time he was the only wolf he took control when it was needed.

Liberty half smiled in a way that the pup could see it then chuckled softly in his throat, “No No child I believe I was talking about something else. It was Chelsea you remember?”, Liberty was looking slightly down at Eros and could see his face immediately flush with boredom the pup blew a raspberry at the adult then responded, ”Yes I remember the boy pup with a girl name. Didn’t he have floppy ears dad?”, Liberty responded with a yes, ”He must’ve looked quite silly then when he was a teen?”, Liberty nodded his head with a slight smile but only because he and Chelsea had become close friends during that time. ”He did, but only I can say that because he was my closest child hood friend —,” the brute was interrupted with a why from Eros the adult lifted a brow that said let me continue and you’ll find out. Eros bit his lip and blushed a bit then waited patiently for Liberty to go on with the tale. Eros was most interested because he had a friend too, one that was in the other pack though so he couldn’t see him, but he knew they were close friends like Liberty was with Chelsea. ”— Because he saved me from a bear. A young one in truth but still dangerous nonetheless.”, Eros’s jaw dropped in awe not many wolves faced off against a burly grizzly bear and lived to tell the tale so he offered no interruption while Liberty went on to tell how he’d been foolish and tried to hunt down an animal that stole pack’s kill after a hunt one dreadful long winter where hunger was often the only thing he could remember. When he got to the bear it was young but it had a full tummy where as Liberty was starving. The adult told Eros that when the young bear stood in its hind legs and roared all the courage Liberty thought he had left him so he stood there frozen as the bear walked closer to him preparing to swat away the tiny wolf who invaded his territory. If not for Chelsea who followed Liberty the bear would successfully mauled the young wolf. Chelsea began barking and howling when he saw what was going on with Liberty just standing there asking for death. When the shouting didn’t catch Liberty’s attention he got into action before the situation could get worse Chelsea ran to Liberty and yanked the brute away so hard by the scruff of his neck the brute nearly doubled over before they ran away together. Liberty retold how many times he thanked Chelsea for being brave to save him and elaborated on his respect for the wolf and what that meant.

The moral of the story was not lost on Eros but it would take him sometime to process the meaning, ”You were scared of that bear weren’t yuh dad..” he teased playfully wagging his tale. Liberty just smiled, “I was terrified and you would have been to when you saw the size of his teeth! His front two fangs were bigger than your whole head..”, Eros's eyes widened in surprise because he’d never seen a bear and couldn’t remember he’d already been around one at a young age it was the reason for his abandonment.

Eros’s giggling from Liberty’s tickles which soon happened after the pup's reaction to the size of the bear's fangs was interrupted when the pack beta poked her head in to check in the state of Eros. The pup who was innocent of the events that occurred in the healer's den yipped happily in response to Nova, “Yeah I am fine! Can't walk right now though..”, all the trauma of past events was gone and he was oblivious to the underlying reasoning behind the questions. Liberty on the other hand had a plan but played along. He wasn't startled by the intrusion in fact he was waiting patiently for Nova to come to check or inform him of what happened to Alex. Since he wasn't told or asked he assumed that he was suspected, and rightfully so, but he knew better than to inquire either as that would be basically like saying he’d done it so with the subject of Alex not mentioned he left it be so he could act oblivious to the situation. ” It was recommended he spend some time off of his foot while it heals. I’m afraid I’ll have my hands full with Eros for the next 4-5 days because of this I will probably be asking you to stand in for me. Eros is my priority. Is that agreeable?”, his voice was calm and polite not a hint in his words that would foreshadow or indicate any guilt.

The brute clenched his jaw tightly when Blaze suddenly appeared begging forgiveness for his interruption and asking for a moment to introduce a child one who apparently found Blaze. Liberty's golden eyes watched as Blaze Nudged the pup forward. Another abandoned pup and this one was lost just before the start of winter poor thing. “Found you now has it? - What is your name child?,” Liberty began to wonder where all these absent parents were and why they kept leaving their babies on his land the brute felt he was owed some kind of support for this child support he would now call this need for reimbursement for taking on someone else’s offspring because Liberty wouldn't tell this pup to get lost no he would of course either care for the pup personally or allow it to be babysat by the healer and roam free as a young pack mate. So Niko was in good paws for now.

Hutten

The she-wolf's plan to escape the perimeters of the camp to allow her some time to perform a hunt for small game on her own had failed early not too long after she’d crawled out of her sleeping hole. This was because even though she would have strayed away from a small group that was forming around the elder's den she could not ignore the urge today to see what was the reasoning for the gaggle of wolves that gathered at the entrance of the den. When she approached, being mindful of idle conversation that could have otherwise gotten her involved with talk which was something she wasn't very good at, amongst the talk she heard the name Kikui followed by passed away or died. So that is what happened a life ended today and it was not too long ago she could remember just having spoken with him. Hutten hoped that she wasn't the last Wolf he'd seen before he died because she thought it would be most dreadful for her to be his last interaction simply because of how Hutten is. The energy around the gaggle of wolves was heavy and filled with grief or sadness over the loss Hutten couldn't bear to be around it anymore it was a feeling she couldn't handle nor would she express around others she barely knew. With discomfort settling in she scurried away before any of the grieving wolves could bother her but halted in her path when a distraught Dante rushed passed her, She’d seen that same look on his face many times he was going to rip a wolf a new one, with her curiosity peeked when Dante disappeared into the healer’s den. She soon followed, silently doing her best to avoid Destiny so she wouldn’t be set to work.

Hutten arrived just in time to see the climax of the energy that was bursting from the den at this point. Outside the den stood the healer who was pushing away another Wolf telling them to give the two leaders their privacy but while the healer was distracted with that wolf Hutten approached and peered into the healers den to see a battered Cypher laying beneath a victorious Dante who even in his anger seemed to have some form of mercy because Dante released Cypher and cause the wolf no more harm. Suddenly though Destiny rushed passed silent Hutten to break up the already-finished fight it was at that moment that Hutten quickly got away from the den to avoid anything that may come of whatever just happened in there. Butte had no clue as to the reason why Dante would attack Cypher or why the Lead Hunter needed a lashing in the first place but she figured all things would be answered in time so it was probably best to just wait.

With her original plan lost to curiosity, her stomach still lurched a bit pained with hunger she was desperate to sate she looked about for a moment then caught a glance of the kill that the hunters managed to bring to camp while one Wolf down, what a feat of strength the hunters performed that was impressive, Hutten was thankful for their effort and made her way to the kill. Whatever red meet was exposed she began knawing on it desperately for a moment attempting to get a chunk so the cruel voice of her empty stomach would stop teasing her so rudely. After a moment of concentrated ripping and tearing, she was successful and began to enjoy the slab of meat she’d torn free from the carcass.

While the she-wolf was chewing a voice spoke up bidding her a good evening which in truth it had been. Rather than hunt she could just skip to eating now thanks to the efforts of the hunters. Hutten was in a fine mood today but would have preferred to be left alone but even she didn't have the heart to chase kind Sora, so when she swallowed Hutten dipped her head respectfully mostly because she thought that was what you were supposed to do then responded, “G’evening.” Though her voice was feminine it had a deepness to it that probably was just a behavior she’d gained during her time working under Dante in her younger years. ” I am fine, but the same cannot be said about the others Kikui has passed and our Two leaders have gotten into a fight….-soft sigh—.. anyway how are you?” she asked politely trying her best not to seem awkward by making sure Sora’s eyes would not glare at the scars on her face.

They glanced to Hyuuga a moment, and smiled a canine smile at him. They couldn't really talk to him, but they gave a small nod, as well. They then focused on the beta once more. They tilted their head as they looked at her once more. They then smiled a canine smile, finally. They said "You're welcome," before falling silent as she opened her maw to speak again. They nodded once more as they looked at the she would. "Okay," they said, standing as well. They gave another nod of acknowledgement to their crush. They wondered a moment why they had a crush on him...but it was because he was handsome. He was also nice to them. They shook their head a couple times. They then turned as well, and headed off after the beta female. They followed as quick as they possibly could. They watched as Liberty disappeared into his den with his son. They shook their head a couple times, then continued to follow.

He heard the whimpers and sobs as well, and put his ears back. He smelled the blood and growled a bit...then yelped "Alexandria!" He did so at the same time the beta questioned her. They'd seen Liberty exiting the direction of the den...Hed been in here to get his son, so Maison immediately thought of him. "Alpha..." he muttered, then shook his head. "Alpha, um...you should go see alpha," he said to Nova. He didn't know if she'd be mad he had said Alpha, as if suspecting him...He then sighed as he stepped to Alex's side. He nodded at Nova, sayin g"On it," then going to the herbs. He got what he needed, and returned to Alex. "This might sting a bit..." he said to the younger she wolf. He watched as their beta left the den, tail flicking. He figured she probably would go see Liberty, about something. Shaking his head, he began to tend to Alex's wound. "If it hurts too much, you can tell me to take a break for a moment."

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked to the pup. The white foot black phase she wolf couldn't completely tell, but he didn't seem too young. She would never consider a one year old an adult...though she'd heard humans apparently did. They still called their own young as babies at that age. She really couldn't understand them. Shaking her head, she looked to the young one. She nodded and said "I'm... sorry to hear that." She watched him paw at his eyes a bit. She made a small sound, and all those motherly instincts swelled back up in her. She wanted to comfort him, but wasn't sure he'd appreciate it. She glanced between him and the adult male for a small moment.

She then quickly nodded as she looked at Blaze. She followed him and the pup back into the camp, as that's where they headed. She nodded once more as he asked her to get some food. He himself said he'd go tell Liberty, and she figured Nova too, maybe. She shook her head a couple times. She said "Okay...food," and headed off to the prey once more. She ripped off some of the meat from the elk/deer. It was still there, so it was best to get meat from that. She returned quickly to the camp with it, hoping no predators followed...There should be no more blood scent by now. She didn't know, maybe bears and such could still smell it. She cleared her voice as she walked near to Blaze but stayed outside the alpha den, saying "I brought the pup some food."

The reddish looking and minimally darker male yawned a bit, then shook his head. There was really no reason for him to be stressed...Then again, it seemed to be evening or nearing it now. He sighed and shook his head a second time. He giggled a bit, then squeaked and fell silent, scolding himself quietly again. He glanced to River, then back to Milo once more. He nodded, saying "It's true that we just ate." He then tilted his head, as he'd thought the other wanted to hang out all together a different day. "Wait...today, like right now?" he asked. He then said "Sorry, I thought you said we could all hang out a different day. I guess you meant you'd go to the river a different day. I'm sorry if I misheard you..." he apologized.

He then said "Okay, River. You're not being a fun killer...it definitely makes sense to inform one of the higher up wolves. If we just go off, they might wonder where we are. They might even send out a patrol to search for us, which wouldn't be...necessary."

The smaller and slender white marked black phase wolf nodded to Mikage. He said "I think they are good guys too. Good guys can become idiots when girls are involved, though...That or even if there's another guy involved, in the case they don't like girls." He shook his head a couple times. He then headed over to the prey with the other wolf. He noticed a wolf he wasn't sure he recognized... (bluebell) he looked to Mikage, asking "Who is that she wolf?"

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup yawned. Brown ears twitched as the brown tipped tail flicked. Brown and blue eyes sparkled a bit. He continued to eat his food, though glanced to Scythe for a moment.

He glanced to the she wolf, as she didn't answer him, not straight away. He saw she seemed to be speaking to herself. He shook it off, when Bluebell finally did speak to him now. "Ah, um...did he adopt you, or was he your real dad?" he asked, wanting to know.

He swallowed his bite and looked toward the she-wolf there "I don't know, but she seems to know us thought, maybe someone who was once there but left for whatever reason" he responded simply. He took another bite and flicked his ears as the Kairo was questioning the she-wolf too.

He took his walk around when spotted the Athena there alone. He walked over to the black female hunter "Hello there Athena" he called out with a flick of his white tail "Why are you not going to eat?" he asked her, even if he was ignoring the stag as well. He didn't know why but he felt a little stressed in camp for some reason, maybe because of some kind of tantrum Dante had earlier and now there were a million other things going on too.

She flicked her ears over to the hunters as they accompanied them to the prey too. She took her bite and looked to the healer den where the temp beta and lead hunter were still talking 'Oh well I need to take a part of this to bring to Cypher, no matter does he wants it or not..."' she thought to herself as she continued to eat.

She looked after the Kiyu leaving them first, She found that the she-pup was very hard to get close with almost impossible, or maybe they were not the type of wolves she could want to be with. She followed after her sister and Kairo, her ears flicking around the camp, It smelled weird, there was the scent of blood mixed with dead, but neither of them came from different wolves, and there was some high tension in the air as well. She stopped the prey and started to eat.

He got to the somewhat empty den, he saw only Chi sleeping at her nest there. He laid down on his nest and took a good position, before closing his eyes. He still heard the conversation between his younger brother and Kane outside of the den. He heard depression in Labrador's voice, he did feel a little uncomfortable and lonely when he watched the pack eating the buck. All of them had someone to talk to, he had nobody, and maybe Labrador felt the same way.

“I’m sorry Lab, I don’t mean to beat around the bush on this, it would be much easier if I just said his name, but…I just can’t. Fear? Worry? Hurt? Possibly. But how would I even say it? What words should I say?” He asked him, leaning towards him like if he wasn’t close enough, he would miss what Labrador had to say.

To her surprise , Liberty had already planned on taking a few days off to tend to his pup. After all , Eros needed him more than anything right now with the slight injury to his paw. She still felt a small glimpse of disappointment that he’d been hurt while she watched over him. However, Liberty seemed to understand that it was not her intention to cause the boy any trauma. It was just a simple race.

Cream colored fluffy ears tilted forward as he told her that he needed her to take over. Nova would be able to do it with ease and also have her paws in the position she hoped to have one day. “Agreed.” She responded without hesitation. Sure, she might have to put a few wolves into their place - but it wouldn’t be hard to manage the pack. From her understanding , most of the wolves here listened to the higher ranked with no issue. “I’ll let them know.” She added. The pack would need to be notified that Liberty was taking off a few days and if they needed him to come to her.

Her gaze fell to Eros as she leaned forward to give him a gentle nuzzle over. “I’m sorry about the injury, kid. Maybe when you’re all healed we can teach you how to be light on your feet .” The Beta gave the young wolf a playful wink. She laughed at herself and him, even when he was hurt the pup made sure to still have something to laugh about.

Nova’s ears swiveled backwards as the sound of paws grew closer to them. She turned her head to see their fighter, Blaze, with a small wolf in tow. The Beta cocked her head to the side, wondering where Blaze had found this pup. The pair approached the den and provided an explanation of the pup’s arrival. A small bit of sadness fell over her as she realized yet another pup had been without their family. She leaned down towards the pup and gave him a small comforting nudge, encouraging him to speak to Liberty when asked. The sound of the young wolf’s voice rang in her ears as he introduced himself. Niko.

“I’m sorry about your family Niko . No worries , you will be safe here. I’m Nova, the beta.” She introduced herself. The pup seemed to lighten up a bit as he realized that he was now in a safe environment. It also made Nova feel good that she was able to bring him some level of comfort, even without knowing who this pup was.

Another pair of paws drew in on the small gaggle of wolves. She looked behind Blaze and Niko to see Gauge behind them. The Beta wasn’t too surprised about the she wolf being somewhere behind Blaze. For a moment, her intrusive thoughts wanted her to ask the other fae a question, but now was not the time for that. She looked down at the food that was brought for Niko and nodded to Gauge. “Thank you for bringing him food. “ she spoke clearly and directly to Gauge.

“Liberty will be off duty for the next couple of days while he tends to his son. Blaze, keep an eye on Niko for the next few days. I’ll be checking in on his adjustment progress.” Her first command as the step in rolled off her tongue. It wasn’t his job to watch the pup, however, he was the one that found him and may have already built some kind of relationship with him. Her eyes met Blaze’s as she searched for a response from him.

Milo quickly came to realize that he may have caused some confusion. He cleared his throat before glancing back over at the wolf they referred to as Akiro. “I apologize for the con-confusion . “ he blurted out. In a brief attempt to save face of the conversation .

“Yo-you’re right , I did mean some other time. “ he back peddled. Then figured he could piggyback off of what River said about going after their duties. “Maybe tomorrow. We can catch up and go out on a patrol.” he offered , keeping his gaze on Akiro. This would be a great way for Milo to get to know the territory and his pack mates a bit easier.

He glanced over to River who mentioned something about the Beta and Alpha having a difficult day. Then remembered discussing the wolf that they called ShyFawn. Milo wondered if the traitor had returned to the pack or made a decision to leave.

“I don't want to cause strife in the pack. Especially since I am fairly new here. You are in fact right. “ Milo added in. River mentioned being a mood killer for simply looking out for them. He was sure that deep down she knew that what she was doing was the right thing. “It’s alright River,” he said. He decided to lay back down, cross his front two paws, before laying his head on top of them.

The young wolf looked between the adults as they both spoke to him giving their insights on his situation. Another whooshing blow of wind brushed against his fur , causing him to shiver. It was entirely too cold for him out here, he needed shelter and soon. Niko sighed heavily as the heavy weight was lifted off of his shoulders. He thought that he would have to stay out there by himself. “T–Thank you” his teeth shuddered as his body shook. He was beyond cold at this point , snow was still falling on him. Each snowflake kissed the tip of his fur before melting due to the remaining warmth.

Niko’s light hazel eyes peered up at Blaze as he spoke to him about moving along to the higher up wolves. The ranking was familiar to him , as his previous pack had something similar to it. “I’m cold” the pup whimpered a few times. As Blaze turned to leave, Niko felt a slight hesitation to go with him. Even though he’d told the pup where they were going, Niko felt some sort of fear. Hopefully he did not lead himself into his own unforgiving doom.

A small skinny body followed the midnight pitch black fighter, they were going straight towards the Alpha’s quarters. Niko had never seen what an Alpha lived before - his parents were low ranks in their old pack. Treated like servants to the high ranked. The young wolf let out another sigh of relief, he’d escaped from the pack without fail.

He’d perked his ears up as Blaze gave the she wolf a command to go get him food. The idea of eating soon made the pup’s mouth water and maybe even drool a bit at the thought of a meal. Niko would have shown Gauge appreciation in advance , but she was long gone. His ears flopped in disappointment with himself for not reacting fast enough , maybe she’d stick around after dropping off his food to make sure he’d eaten.

Niko picked up his speed, nearly at the tip of Blaze’s tail. “Do you think she’ll come back and stay too ?” he’d questioned. Even if she didn’t , Niko was confident that he’d see her again to say thank you to her.

It was not long before they had managed to make it to their destination, the Alpha’s den. The pup’s gaze immediately looked into the den to see the Beta standing over someone. He stepped a few inches closer while Blaze introduced him to the Alpha. His eyes widened in aw as he looked upon the large brute that Blaze had claimed to be the Alpha. He was seemingly bigger than the three other adults that were there.

A warm but wet nose pressed up against him , he looked over to see Nova urging him to speak. “ I’m Niko . My parents were taken by humans. I haven’t seen them in days.” He quickly explained to the alpha. Deep down he hoped that the Alpha would not turn him away or make him fend for himself in this blizzard like weather.

The Beta had gave her condolences about his family all the while introducing herself to him. “Hi Ms.Nova.” The pup dipped his maw in her direction. That was something that he did learn before his parents were ripped away from him. He looked between the adults as they discussed what would happen with him in his first couple of days here. His tail wagged as the Beta looked at Blaze and demanded that he look over him. Niko almost immediately walked over to Blaze and popped his haunches on the floor next to him. “You won’t even notice that I am here, promise!” He yipped in excitement.

Kiyu listened to Destiny as she explained that her mother had also did the same to her. She wondered why they wanted to go about things the way that they did. However, that was now the past - not needing any further thought. "Hopefully, I'll understand their madness one day." the pup giggled.

"I uh.. I didn't do anything. Scythe was looking for her pups and I found them at the border.. helping the redmoon pup across." she summed up the story as much as she could. The tip of her ears dropped over her canals right after telling the story. As if she still felt guilty for getting the other pups in trouble. She huffed , shaking herself out of pity land. Kiyu knew that they knew better than that. They knew that Eros belonged on the other side of the border and that no matter how much they wanted to be friends - they had to obey the rules.

The oversized brute chuckled as she answered herself. Amused that she'd answered her own questions even though he was supposed to answer. "No worries little lady , it happens." he laughed once more. His eyes stayed focused on her, watching for any movement that may strike as peculiar to him. Louie was sure that the young wolf meant no harm , however , she still belonged to the other pack and he could not count on her being completely friendly.

His ears flickered at her response of finding peace at the border. He nodded his head in agreement with her statements. The border, while separating the two , provided a space of concentration or focus. "The border is a lot calmer than one would think." he mentioned. The brute flipped his tail ack and forth, in attempt to show the other that he wasn't going to hurt her. Truthfully, if he wanted to - he could have done so already. "Why am I here?" he repeated her question back to her.

"It's my duty to patrol these borders and to make sure no one crosses that line." he briefly explained to her. He looked down the invisible line once again, not finding any other wolf or picking up any scents at the moment. Louie's gaze turned firm as he sniffed a few times confirming that no one else was near. "I too find peace here at the border - nobody is dumb enough to cross the territory lines." he mentioned to her. Then remembered what the pups had done today, almost kicking himself in the rear. They'd crossed the border and caused a lot of issues today.

The fully black wolf laid to rest on the snow with her paws stretched out to support her maw. A sound of approaching paw steps perked her ears erect towards the blue dome above. She thought about why she was there and what was the reason for her being there, oh right, she was upset with Scythe for her behavior earlier. A dull pang of shame for her nasty retort instantly made her feel guilty. Her ears swayed backwards as she fixed her vision to Hakuren as he approached her.

“There’s a lot of tension between pack mates and I’ve sort of lost my appetite.” She huffed with frustration. She probably should eat soon ,but with everything going on at the present moment - food was on the back of her mind. She raised her muzzle from her paws as she pulled her body from the ground. Athena softly sighed. as a small relief of the pressure rolled off the tip of her tail.

She searched around them for others only to find them still in pairs or groups mingling amongst themselves. Athena quickly assumed that everyone felt the same way as she did. The suffocating aroma of depleting energy filled the pack’s air as they all tried to focus on what’s happening.

Athena shook her fur free of wetness from laying in the snow. “What about you?” She asked the question in return. “Why aren’t you eating ?” Another question rumbling after the first.

Cypher tilted his head at the scoff, wondering if he had said something wrong. Cypher knew that they were brothers, there was too many things proving it. His tail thumped softly as he thought about how he hasn't actually been alone his whole life. He knew Dante was coming to the same realization. At the males next words, he spoke up a little.
" Maybe she left because she was ready to give birth? Ryder always seemed obsessed with Starlight, even after my birth. " he said, glancing at his paws with a wince.
He hoped the fight they just had wouldn't make them feel awkward or hate each other... He for one was already past it. It was up to Dante to decide how her wanted to move forward.
" I want to be closer, like brothers should be... How about you? We.. We can also tell the pack or keep it a secret. Honestly, it's up to you." He said with a wolf equivalent of a smile.

As there conversation continued bringing fresh ideas into there shared past Dante found himself slowly accepting peacefully alone in his thoughts that Cypher was indeed his youngest brother and only remaining family member which is something that over time he would begin to treasure. Since they were brothers now Dante felt even further justified by giving his younger brother a firm warning about not being a hero and he could call their little fight a bit of brotherly bonding.

Dante nodded his head a bit agreeing that Ryder was quite loyal to the pack which is what made being abandoned alone there such a queer thing to him. He never understood why his mother left but he knew that he missed her dearly if she were alive he would like to yell at her a bit then probably become her little boy once he lets go of the grudge but that was neither here nor there and the possibility of that happening was equivalent to impossible, ”Perhaps. She could have stayed the pack grieved over the loss of Zeus and her disappearance on my behalf until I was an adult. Given the chance I think I would like to have a word with her …. You and I lost so much precious time because of that choice…”, the tones of his voice had become calm and for once had the heft of emotion behind each word it was like some of the fear he had about complete loneliness had gone leaving a thankful feeling in the place where much of his depression was held in that black mind of his.

A half smile cracked across his lips, it was a queer feeling to him finally smiling a real smile, ”I’d say we’ve done well for our selves brother despite what has happened eh? You are the lead hunter and I for the moment, unless I am demoted, are the temp Beta. That’s something to be proud of. “, once he finished talking like the old man he was slowly becoming he gulped softly a small emotion tickled that formed at the bottom of his throat. Cypher wanted to properly form a brotherly bond with Dante disregarding that Dante had just whooped his little brother one while he was injured. Oh the shame and the feeling of guilt, which to point out again was an extremely queer experience for him, all the justification he had just moments ago fled when the thought of ‘You hurt your little brother’ played around in his head swinging haymakers at his emotions making him regret it all.

Dante chewed the inside of his lip to stifle rising emotions before he spoke, ”Even after I hurt you? Shouted a bit? And insulted you? I don’t deserve your love Brother…but I am thankful…”, he no longer loomed dominantly over the same colored ebony brute that lay injured on the floor Dante was much more respectful now and even leaned down to nose softly the neck of his brother apologizing for having caused him so much pain, ”In stead of no longer jesting that we are brothers we can actually confirm that we are though it may not surprise the way you might intend. Our shared appearance is uncanny..”, he said gently

Alexandria

Alex was pleased when some one did eventually come to check on her shortly after the incident with the Alpha. She tried her best to calm her self when she heard the tapping of approaching wolfish feet and when the paws eventually came to a stop Alex was pleased to see it was her beautiful Beta who now looked more stunning than ever because Nova was her knight in shinning armor and Nova’s appearance quelled some of her despair. Alex composed her self flinching a bit at the terrible sting that lingered on her cheek, a cruel gift and reminder to keep the secret to her self, she rose from the Stoney floor of the den and submitted to the presence of her beta. The gash across her cheek bled continuously drips of hot crimson liquid dried on some of her fur and stiffened it she looked quite the mess equally as distraught as she appeared really. Alex didn’t have anything to say at first about Nova’s questions her eyes watered and she looked around nervously she knew not saying a name would start a wild hunt for the offender but she couldn’t say it was Liberty! She didn’t want her eldest brother to die! The poor this was very sure Liberty would follow through with his threat and kill her too. She stuttered when she spoke, “It was Shy-Fawn…didn’t you see him? He asked me for some medicine just after Liberty left and when I told him no he attacked me..” she lied helplessly feeling immediate guilt for having placed the cause of her injury on a wolf who was actually not present and was new once again to the ranks of this pack she mentally berated her self with insults, wondering why she’d done that? Alex couldn’t think of any better option in the moment.

Alexandria was by no means typically a damsel in distress and didn’t need to be babied she was shocked, scared, and unsure of her self after the incident which was justifiably a reasonable reaction to just having been attacked by a trusted pack mate. The trauma of the event would bother her for some time because her trust in the higher ranking wolves was completely destroyed and even though she adored Nova it would take some time before Alex would look at the beta she-wolf the same other than how thankful she was that Nova acted quickly enough for her. When Nova stated that she would find who had done this Alex held back the urge to say that the individual you seek is closer than you think. ”Yes they will..” she whispered hopelessly knowing that no matter how hard the beta was willing to work at it the offender would never see justice and another victim of Liberty’s wraith was soon to be found.

It was a sweet gesture to hear that Maison was concerned enough to express their despair when they saw her. A bit of guilt filled her chest after thinking she may have upset them earlier by stealing the Alphas boy to tend to him when they had been ordered to do so instead. Alexandria wished that Maison had spoken their opinion more loudly so that Nova could have heard the correct accusation because terror kept her lips sealed from speaking. ,”Thank you Maison — I’m not bothered I-it doesn’t hurt to bad..”, her soft young voice weeped gently with her words as she spoke them. ”I am terribly sorry if I offended you Maison…I just thought I needed to prove my self by caring for the Alphas son…”, a thought that now afterwards she greatly regretted having.

Lycath

The sky box seemed to quiet down as it appeared all things were beginning to go as planned. Once the silence fell and wolves began to bustle about following their orders or completing day to day chores Lycath had distracted him self by searching nearby plant growths, which were withered a bit now that winter had come, for herbs and other pain suppressants that could be located in time so they could be harvested and dried for Maison’s use. Lycath knew his sister would understand what these plants were for and how to prepare them for usage in different applications but it was best not to go over Maison’s head because he may still have tips or suggestions for his young sisters who was nearly a full cup but still had much to learn. Lycath’s search for these precious plants failed more often than he found success but he expected that now while the snow fell yet the success he did find was rare morsels that would have expired in just days so he was pleased with his loot as he clambered back to camp just in time to see Liberty quickly leave the healers den carrying his son, he did not see another wolf exit the den afterwards, what he did notice was Maison and Nova enter shortly after Liberty left probably to check on the pup that had already been looted from the den.

Lycath approached the healers den to find that the energy coming from it was heavy with grief and rotten with pain the smell of blood, his sisters blood, leaked from the den. The hairs on his neck stood at an edge and he became violently protective blood shot filled his eyes and he rushed in to hear Nova proclaiming that she would locate who had ever done this. ”Done what? What is going on?,” he begged anxiously until he looked inward deeper into the den to see just what is was and it is what he feared. Maison was tending to a deep gash on Alex’s cheek while it appeared as if she’d just finished doing a bit of sobbing which encouraged further swelling of the anger that was bursting in his chest. Lycath must have been a bit late to hear who his sister claimed had done it because he immediately accused the Alpha as Liberty was the only one seen leaving the den by himself. ”Alex who did this to you!?! Was it Liberty!? I swear I will rip a new hole in that mutts hide!” he exclaimed allowing his emotions to control and convey exactly how he was feeling. Alex whined softly and bid Lycath not worry and allow Nova to handle it as well as assuring him it was by no means Liberty and that it was in fact the newest addition to the pack named Shy-Fawn. Lycath was in disbelief he hadn’t seen Shy-Fawn leaving the den maybe she was mistaken? Nonetheless Lycath would seek out shy-fawn first before Nova and confront the little brute. ”For Shy-Fawns sake I hope Nova finds him first because if I do the only thing she’ll find is a corpse!”, he’d almost completely forgotten that Maison was present at the moment and nodded to the brute thanking them for caring for his sister then he sped off exiting the den. He scoffed coldly when he looked around and noticed Nova speaking with Liberty instead of locating his sisters attacker though Liberty was top contender Lycath was fine with thinning out his options by seeking out Shy-Fawn first.

Shy Fawn was lying in the late air, on a small jutting rock. His eyes scoured the camp. The brutes eyes closed. He was going to have to face it. He would need to like a ant. The tiniest ant. Smaller than a flea. Here...he was no king. He wasn't even a member. Shy Fawn growled to himself.
His wounds hardly stung. He'd had much worse. His scars were his tale. That Liberty... He clenched his teeth. Frigid and frail, and oh so weak. Shy Fawn yawned at the insults earlier, but he was furying now. Of course...nothing he could do about it. He opened his eyes. Well...for now, anyway.

They tilted their head when she said it was Shy Fawn...He didn't feel like Shy Fawn would do something like that, not so soon anyway. He'd been acting like a good little wolf. They asked "Are you...are you sure it was Shy Fawn?" while Nova was still there. They tilted their head as they looked at Alexandria. If their alpha had done this, he needed to pay...Maison didn't think there was any reason Liberty should hurt a healer. Therefore, if he had, he needed to be dealt with. He then listened as Nova spoke. He heard the healer trainee whisper something, and tilted his head. They sighed as Nova then left the den...They shook their head, hoping it wasn't Liberty that had done this but it very well could have been.

They nodded to the younger wolf, saying "You're welcome." They then looked up as Lycath entered the den, and he was questioning them both. They shook their head as they looked at Lycath. "She says it was Shy Fawn but I didn't see him near here...I don't know if Nova maybe saw him around somewhere. I have a different idea who might have done it, but...I don't know if I should say." He fell silent to finish caring for the wound. He put some cobwebs or other stuff over it. They made a small sound as Lycath then threatened Shy Fawn...They shook their head a couple times. They then nodded as he thanked them. Looking to Alex, they asked "Do you want me to stay here with you, or...should I go after your brother?"

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked to the pup. The white foot black phase she wolf made a small sound. She then quickly nodded as she looked at Blaze. She followed him and the pup back into the camp, as that's where they headed. She nodded once more as he asked her to get some food. He himself said he'd go tell Liberty, and she figured Nova too, maybe. She shook her head a couple times. She said "Okay...food," and headed off to the prey once more. She ripped off some of the meat from the elk/deer. It was still there, so it was best to get meat from that. She returned quickly to the camp with it, hoping no predators followed...There should be no more blood scent by now. She didn't know, maybe bears and such could still smell it. She cleared her voice as she walked near to Blaze but stayed outside the alpha den, saying "I brought the pup some food."

(Gotta leave this for Blaze, but I could add a bit for Niko though maybe it doesn't matter now)

When the pup had said he was cold, she'd stepped closer to him. If he'd wanted to, she'd let him cuddle into her a bit as they'd walked. If not...she still stayed close anyway. They'd gotten back and she'd gone to get the food, and now she waited there with it. She nodded to Nova, and looked to Eros and Liberty. Something felt, off, maybe, but she didn't know why it would. She shook her head, shaking those thoughts away. Liberty was good to them, and she said "You're welcome," to Nova.
